𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐓
We made it home from the June Indiana Ranch Horse Association show. The weekend didn't exactly start as planned because of some truck troubles, but a HUGE thank you to Chelsea N Kyle Nowak for helping and getting me back up and running.
This weekend we had some great accomplishments in the show pen:
🏆 Alison Kimmel earned a Top 3 finish in the Novice Amateur Overall.
🏆 Nick Golden earned a Top 3 finish in the Junior Horse Overall.
A special shoutout to Sadie and Grace for taking on the cattle drive. While it may not have gone exactly according to plan, it was definitely entertaining and gave us all a few laughs along the way! Video posted below of both of them mic'd up for their run. 🤣
What makes me the most proud is watching the youth riders continue to put in the work day after day. Success in this sport isn't built overnight, and they are learning that. True success comes from long rides, setbacks, lessons learned, and the determination to keep showing up. I believe great horses are important, but a strong work ethic matters more. Every placing our riders receive is earned. In the long run, accomplishments mean way more when they're built on hard work, perseverance, and growth rather than simply the outcome on a score sheet. The ribbons and buckles are nice, but the character, work ethic, and knowledge gained along the way are what make those accomplishments truly worthwhile. THAT is what makes you a well-rounded rider.
