๐จ Livestock Owners, Be Aware! ๐จ
Screwworms pose a potentially serious threat to Oklahoma horses, cattle, and other livestock. These parasites can infest woundsโeven the smallest cutsโcausing severe tissue damage, infection, and in some cases, death if not treated quickly.
โ
Check your animals regularly for wounds.
โ
Report any suspicious cases to your veterinarian immediately.
โ
Stay informed about updates from the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture.
While no cases have been confirmed in the US to date, protecting your herd and horses starts with awareness and early action. ๐ด๐๐
