🚨 Bar K OKC closed permanently and without warning.
Over 35 employees—including 6 full-time and dozens of part-time team members—were told today that they no longer have jobs. No notice. No severance. No time to plan.
Bar K wasn’t just a dog park—it was a community. It was a safe, happy place for dogs and people alike, and it was made that way by the people who worked there.
These employees:
🐾 Showed up rain or shine
🐾 Loved on our dogs like they were their own
🐾 Helped rescue groups (like ours!) host adoption events and fundraisers
🐾 Created a space where dog people could feel at home
Now, just weeks before school starts, many of them are scrambling to pay rent, buy groceries, and get their kids ready for a new school year—with no paycheck to fall back on.

• Rent & essential bills
• Groceries & transportation
• Back-to-school costs
• Emergency expenses from the sudden closure
