Ace and I completed our first ever Horse Trial today. I got my best dressage score, didn’t get bucked off on cross country, and only had one rail in stadium jumping. We were in the lead, and slipped to second place because of the rail. And vaulting in to first was the most adorable 10 year old girl with her plucky little pony.

Pretty much our whole trail ride was laying on the horses necks! So much wind has knocked down trees and blocked the path on the horse trails next door, that we had to divert onto the human trails!
I’m just so grateful my neighbors let me hack through their forest!

Took Anna for a visit and tour to Royal Vista Equine Reproduction center.
These mares live on 1000+ acres, eat alfalfa round bales, have top vet care, and hang out with all of their friends all day. Oh, then they have a baby, and some travel to posh farms to live until the baby is weaned. Then they go back to the farm and do it again! These are all the mares that are about to get pregnant or about to deliver.

Craigslist Carl took Anna to her first show ever! He was a very good boy, sleepy as ever, until GAME TIME. They did a cross country course (with no jumps:) and look at his happy, plucky, marching self!

The Green Crusader is doing so great! He is just sensitive enough to be light, and just the right amount of forward. This was his first day in the arena! He is available for adoption from Horse and Hound Rescue Foundation
