I am so excited to share this! This is Cool Okie. He was terrified of me climbing on the mounting block.
One thing that you forget about OTTB’s is that the jockeys and exercise riders are legged up from the ground. So for some, the mounting block is new and scary.
So while we are still working on it, but this is the progress update!

It was a big day! I actually got to ride Amigo with another horse around.
As he was a stallion until a few months ago, I had to bring in all the horses and close the top doors of the stalls to keep him from seeing them. If he did see them he lost all focus and started screaming.

So you can see why I am so very proud of my gelding!

And thanks to Zoe Babbitt and Ace for being steady friends!
