This rain has made it hard to do the work on Ursula that I wanted to. I am cutting out the top of the transom and gutting out the wood. It's in great condition but, I feel safer if it's gutted and I layer it with fiberglass and epoxy, let that harden and do another layer, harden, repeat.
I also get the opportunity to put in the flooring that I want to. Is it necessary? No. But I enjoy being barefoot and it's easier for me with the flooring.
Along with that, my bote-tote, trolling rod holders_and I am so grateful for learning more about trolling. As a primarily surf fisherman, learning to troll has been fun. I get to also put in some lights, and will then do the transducer. I have a kick ass GarminStriker4 to get installed so I can truly take fishing to where I need to.
I am so damn happy and proud of myself!

Phone’s on Do Not Disturb because I’m elbows-deep in building the future of For Their Love—from hooks to hull to healthy pet food.

⚙️ Replacing old string on bait jugs
⚙️ Sharpening or swapping out hooks
⚙️ Gutting Ursula’s transom (she's fine... probably) to fill her with fiberglass + epoxy lasagna for max safety
⚙️ Researching and testing new dog food recipes and launching a cat line: For Their Love, Meow Too
⚙️ Calling in donations + sponsors for a commercial fish processing facility (because blue catfish are invasive, and I’m invasive with ambition too)

All this while still making room for heart-led hustle and feeding the future—yours, theirs, and ours.

Healthy soil. Healthy animals. Healthy minds.

This month, we’re standing with the men in our community — especially those who fish, farm, work hard, and carry more than they speak of.

Mental health is just as important as physical health.
If we can care for the land, the animals, and the waters…
We can care for ourselves — and each other.

Check in on your friends. Make space for hard conversations.
And if you’re one of the strong, silent ones:
You matter. Your story matters. Your healing matters.

🎣 THANK YOU to the anonymous donor who generously "hooked" us up!
We received a set of brand-new catfishing gear including:
✅ Circle hooks
✅ Braided mainline
✅ Fluorocarbon leader line

This donation means more than we can say. It allows us to expand our jugging operation and increase production for our blue catfish dog treats—turning an invasive species into a resource that supports both our waterways and your pups. 🐾 And soon, my filets and crab at the market and to local stores!

Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. 💙

My Goals — Crabs, Cats, and a Cleaner Bay

I’ve got big dreams in a small boat.
🦀 Commercial blue crab and catfish operation
🐾 Farm-grown fish treats and sustainable seafood
🌱 Homegrown dog food ingredients + natural fertilizer

I’m not here to play—I’m here to clear our waters, feed families (human & canine), and build something my kids can be proud of.

And I’ll probably cuss while I do it. Just sayin’.

My Boat’s Named Ursula and She’s a Badass

She’s a 1959 fiberglass Gamefisher. No frills, all function.
Like me, she’s older than she looks and hauls more than she should.

Crayons in My Purse and Bricks in My Boat - I couldn't find my anchor, shut up.

Being a mom means I’ve got snacks for kids and bait for jugs.
Also yes, I had to use a brick for an anchor on WAY more than one occasion. For the macho man(my fishing kayak) as well as Ursula. They sink better than your ex’s apology.

🤣

Why Blue Catfish Skins Are a Game-Changer for Dogs

You ever look at your dog and think, “You deserve better than bland biscuits shaped like bones”?

Enter: blue catfish skins—rich in omega-3s, high in protein, and crispy like a snack should be.

Not only are they tail-waggin’ good, but they help with joint health, shiny coats, and are perfect for allergy-prone pups.

Bonus? They’re from an invasive species trashing our local waters.
So every treat helps the Bay breathe.

For Their Love isn’t just a name—it’s a mission. 💙🐾

People at the ramp: “What are those water jugs for?”
Me: “Catching dinner, saving the Bay, and confusing the hell outta tourists.”
Jugging = baited lines tied to jugs. Different depths, strategic spacing. It's redneck chess.
Also, I win a lot. 🏆
