Private riding lessons are $40 each, or a block of 4 for $135
Choice of lessons on the trail or in the arena on my well trained horses, or yours. Trailer training, or one day problem solving off the ranch available on selected Wednesdays or Sunday afternoons. Horse training is $370 the first month, $320 the second month, and $270 after that. Lessons are included.
24x24 6 foot pipe corrals start

at $245 and go to $305.
12x24 6 foot pipe corrals are $275. Bedding, special feed, services (like cleaning feet, exercising, vitamins, medicine, grooming, Clipping, bathing, worming) provided at a nominal cost. Go-Pro filming available for lessons, training, or for sale horses

Has anyone ever had a child say "I can't find it"? Then you go help them find it and it's so obvious you can tell they didn't even try!? The same thing happens with puppies...(sigh)...

I went to the Riverside dog park with Pip, Blink, and Judy. Judy is getting braver at playing with other dogs and moving away from Kolin. Pip is getting the hang of joining in with a little bit of play. When we got here, there were about 10 dogs. Somebody brought in a large dog puppy which normally wouldn't be allowed but it was a very submissive puppy, so everybody said it was fine. There was a pack of eight aggressive dogs in the large dog park. It was the first time that Judy and Blink had ever played with a larger dog. It was a great lesson after they overcame their fear! I am trying to teach Pip that she isn't the yard referee. At home she makes sure that nobody barks and if the energy is too intense, she calms the dogs down. I want her to have a better recall when she is playing the run and chase game with dogs that she doesn't know. I put her on a leash twice and she started to get the message. She actually checked herself and looked back over her shoulder at me so I called her and gave her a treat. That was very exciting for me!

I am continually amazed by all the dog parks in this town. Found another one very close to my house inside of a very nice neighborhood. You don't see it from the main road so I've never known it was there. It had a leaky sprinkler in the middle with some nice fresh water and some mud. It met with Flyboy's approval!

Vicki and I took Creed, Pip, and Blink to the dog park yesterday. We probably stayed there for an hour it was such a beautiful day! I am learning a few things about my dogs in public places. Pip is extremely ball obsessive. She spends most of her time right around us begging for the ball instead of exploring and checking out the park. She steals other dogs' balls. I don't mind that she likes the ball, but she doesn't want to allow any other dog near it. That is the part that I don't like.
Blink likes to explore and play with other dogs, but she can't remain calm while another dog is playing with a toy that isn't hers. If I tell her to "leave it" with food, she has no problem. I just discovered if I tell her "leave it" with a ball, she absolutely can't.
Now that I am semi-retired I have been studying dog training. I've been concentrating on the "balanced dog." Just as I have learned in horse training, the animal must be calm in order to learn properly. Nobody wants a nervous horse!
I have observed that greyhounds calmly go to their racing box with no outward pulling or barking. When Jack Russells go, they are Jack Russell terrorists. Is this breed specific, or the way each breed is trained?
Most horses at the racetrack ridden by the outriders are retired race horses. I know because I used to be a gallop girl. I also rode a pony horse and took horses to the gate. When the race started and all the horses jumped out of the gate, all of our pony horses were perfectly calm and ignored the excitement. I never really thought about it at the time.
I am going to attempt what seems like an impossible task with the breed of dogs that I love. I simply want them to ignore what is none of their business. I expect the same thing out of my horses. I have no idea what the outcome will be. 🙃
Just one of those things to keep my mind and body active in my old age! 😆

Pip was helping me in the garden tonight because it was a nice cool evening. There is a lot of brush between the boxes that I've been procrastinating on cleaning out. I figured I'd get the boxes planted first and then work on the beauty part. The brush is so tall that you can lose a Jack Russell in it! We were working for 20 minutes before she flushed a cat that had been there very close to us for quite some time. I took this video after the cat incident because she wanted to be sure there were no more cats. She must have found something dead or stinky in the really tall weeds because she started rolling in all of the grass!

The kids and I had a wonderful day at the play day yesterday. The dogs absolutely love doing these sports! Blink won all...

The kids and I had a wonderful day at the play day yesterday. The dogs absolutely love doing these sports! Blink won all of her races. 😊 Flyboy and Pip won two of their races each. (They must have been matched with slow dogs because they were both dying of oxygen deprivation at the end of their races. Very out of breath!😝)
Blink finished her first open go to ground tunnel with two turns! Pip and Flyboy are so good at go to ground that I let some people I met drop them in the tunnels. They got a kick out of that!😃 The best thing is that when I got up this morning nobody was limping. Flyboy has been off for three and a half months and Pip has been off for 2 months for mystery lameness.

This is the most dogs that I have had Blink loose with at a dog park. They were all very well adjusted and so were the owners except for one dog. The owner had good control over it, though, and kept it on a leash. When it would growl or show its teeth all the dogs would just run away so there was no confrontation. I always wait 3 to 5 minutes before turning Blink loose so that I can read the other dogs that are around.
