This grooming appointment has been long awaited. After receiving extreme brush burn by another groomer, Winston was almost untouchable for grooming. It took two, sometimes three people to groom him. He would bite, thrash, jump, and had so many other destructive behaviors. I could not touch his face or ears with a brush. I could not clip his toe nails. I could not pluck his ears. He never looked good when he left the shop. It was extremely frustrating for me but I was determined to help him and get him to trust me.

I started working pretty extensively with him. Got him on a good schedule and was very slowly making a little progress. When I started my own business and went mobile I was very skeptical taking him on by myself. I told is parents I would give it a try but I made no promises that I would be able to keep grooming him.

Flash forward a year and Winston is a completely different dog. It took a LOT or work and patience but we finally did it! Today was the first day I was able to groom Winston fully without any problems at all. I can now clip his toes and pluck his ears! I can completely brush through his ears and face! I no longer have to muzzle him. I am so proud of how far we have come together! This is the best that he has ever looked and acted! I genuinely love this dog!

Haven’t been able to stop crying😢 Lost a good one today💔 Part of the jobs that absolutely sucks. You get attached to your clients and their dogs. They become your family and it hurts like hell when they pass on. Sniper was the best shih tzu ever! My little sharp shooter. Rest easy my love❤️🕊️
