I sell and deliver eggs in the Nocona area. This is a way for me to raise my chickens for showing, breeding & selling and make a little money on the side. Any time you would like a tour of the coop just let us know and you can see how happy and healthy our hens are. We try to let our chickens range outside of their large pen area several times a week to eat bugs

and such. We are also very conscience of any spraying or medication we use. Also, if you are unfamiliar with fresh eggs, you might see some dirt or stuff on the outside of the eggs. We try to dry wipe most stuff that is on the eggs but we avoid washing the eggs because it will destroy the bloom which is the single best protection of the egg from bacteria. Wash the egg prior to using but use it pretty quickly. Also, we do occasionally have a rooster in the coop and even though we gather eggs every day, you might see a bit of white or red in the yolk. That just means it is fertilized (and some people believe it is more healthy). Once an egg is pulled off the nest and put in the fridge all fertilization of the egg stops, so don’t worry.
