☀️🐾 HOT WEATHER ALERT: Keep Pets Safe in the Heat!

Temps continue to rise, which makes our pets are at risk. Here’s your quick summer safety checklist:

🔥 Pavement Test: If it’s too hot for your bare hand or foot, it’s too hot for their paws.
🚗 Never Leave Pets in Cars: Even with windows cracked, temps skyrocket in minutes.
🏡 Keep Indoors When Possible: Fans and A/C go a long way in keeping pets safe.
💧 Hydration Check: Refill outdoor water bowls often and keep them shaded.
🌳 Provide Shade: Livestock and outdoor pets need consistent shade—trees, tarps, or shelters. Provide misters when possible.
⚠️ Know the Signs of Heatstroke: Excessive panting, drooling, vomiting, red gums, or collapse = emergency!

Play it cool and protect those paws, snouts, and tails. When in doubt, keep them inside and give us a call if anything feels off.

Good morning from all of us at Hooves and Snouts Farm Animal Sanctuary "Adoptions of Pot Belly/Mini Pigs"!
We are so happy to introduce our newest resident!
This is Noah and he is a blue/gray dapple Gelding mule.
Noah was scheduled to leave the Stillwater kill pen headed for a Mexico slaughter house.
Now he will live out the rest of his life with us here at the sanctuary.

This is D**k. He’s 30. His mama is sick. She’s had him for 15 years and she’s beyond stress with worry about him. Full or not, I strongly feel that we are supposed to help him. If someone will sponsor him, we’ll bring him home. Can you commit to $300 a month to sponsor D**k? Sometimes it’s a hard line to walk. You know I’d help them all if I could, but we can’t put the horses we have at risk by taking in more than we can manage. Please share and message me if you can help. ❤️❤️❤️
