These Sphynx cats may look hairless, but they’re actually covered in a fine peach-fuzz that feels like suede! 😻

✨ Fun Sphynx Facts:

• They aren’t hypoallergenic—but many people with cat allergies do better around them.
• Because they lack fur, they get cold easily and love warm laps, blankets, and sunbeams.
• These cats are super affectionate, playful, and love being the center of attention.
• Regular baths are a must—they get oily without fur to absorb it!

✅ Mentioned the weather in the first 30 seconds of small talk
✅ Got caught in a random sunshower between drop-ins ☀️🌧️
✅ Said “well hey there!” and "Ope watch your paws" to 3 pets and 2 porch geese

Fun Fact: Blue-eyed cats aren’t just beautiful—they’re often genetically unique!

Most blue-eyed cats have a gene that affects pigmentation, which is why their eyes stay such a brilliant shade of blue. Interestingly, many blue-eyed cats are also pointed breeds (like Siamese), meaning their coloring develops based on body temperature!

Also, some white or mostly white blue-eyed cats can be deaf in one or both ears—but not always! It depends on how the gene affects inner ear development.

Nature’s way of making them mysterious and magical!

She really doesn't believe me when I tell her it's only for humans.

Me: “It’s chocolate cake.”
Her: “And?”
Me: “And it contains theobromine and caffeine, which dogs can’t metabolize like humans can.”
Her: “Sounds like a you problem.” 👀🍰🐾

💡Reminder as we head into BBQ / get together season

Chocolate can cause vomiting, tremors, seizures, and even heart issues in dogs — especially dark or baking chocolate, which has higher theobromine levels. Always keep sweets out of reach, no matter how persuasive the stare.
