🐾 Dr. Hyler-Both Update 🐾

We know many of our clients and community members have continued to ask about Dr. Hyler-Both, so we wanted to share a little update with everyone.

The good news is — she is steadily improving every single day and is VERY eager to get back to work. (Probably a little *too* eager, if you ask her therapists. 😅)

She is currently working hard in both OT and PT and learning one of life’s hardest lessons: patience. As many of you know, slowing down and taking “baby steps” is not exactly Dr. Hyler-Both’s natural personality trait, but she is doing her best to trust the process and give herself grace during recovery.

Most importantly, she thanks the Lord every day that she still has a chance to continue doing what she loves.

While everyone here has been working a little harder without her, this experience has truly reinforced the importance of teamwork and collaboration. We are incredibly thankful for our amazing staff and wonderful relief veterinarians who have helped us maintain coverage and continue caring for our patients during this time.

We also want to sincerely thank our clients, friends, and community members who have sent cards, checked in on her, visited her and those who help her in prayer.

Your kindness and support have meant more than words can express.

Dr. Hyler-Both is looking forward to returning — gradually — and we know she will appreciate seeing all of her patients and clients again soon. Until then, we will continue cheering her on through every milestone… even if she’s trying to speed-run physical therapy. 😉

Thank you all again for your continued support.

📣 Important Policy Updates 📣

As our practice continues to grow, we are making a few important policy changes to help us better serve our patients, clients, and community. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work to provide the best care possible while respecting the time of our veterinary team and other clients waiting for appointments.

🐾 Effective Immediately:
A $60 “No Show” Fee will be implemented if a scheduled appointment is missed without notice.

We currently maintain a waiting list for appointments, and missed appointments prevent other pets from receiving care when they need it. Appointment times are extremely valuable, and we kindly ask that you notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to make your scheduled visit.

🐾 Effective July 1:
The following non-refundable deposits will be required at the time of booking:

• Spay/Neuter Surgeries: $100 Deposit
• Dental Procedures: $100 Deposit
• Voucher Recipients: $40 Deposit
• Major Surgeries: Deposit amount will be based on the estimated cost of the procedure

These deposits help us reduce last-minute cancellations and ensure that surgery spots remain available for pets needing care.

We understand that emergencies and unexpected situations happen, and we always strive to work compassionately with our clients. Thank you for your continued trust, support, and understanding as we continue serving our community and caring for your pets ❤️🐾

🐾 Lyme Disease Awareness: Protecting Your Pets Starts With You 🐾

As veterinary professionals, we see firsthand how serious tick-borne diseases like Lyme Disease and Anaplasma can be for dogs in our area—and unfortunately, we treat many cases every year.

Lyme Disease is transmitted through tick bites and can have lasting effects on your pet’s health. Some common symptoms in dogs include:
▪️ Lethargy or decreased energy
▪️ Fever
▪️ Lameness or joint swelling (sometimes shifting from leg to leg)
▪️ Loss of appetite
▪️ Swollen lymph nodes
▪️ In more severe cases, kidney damage

These symptoms can come and go, making Lyme Disease tricky to catch early—but the damage can still be happening beneath the surface.

💉 Prevention is key.
We strongly recommend:
✔️ The Lyme vaccine for at-risk dogs
✔️ Consistent, year-round flea and tick prevention

Our role is to educate and guide you in making the best decisions for your pet’s health. We take that responsibility seriously—but ultimately, it is up to each pet owner to follow through with recommended care.

We live and work in an area where tick-borne diseases are very common. Protecting your pet now can prevent serious illness later.

If you have questions about Lyme vaccination or flea/tick prevention, we’re always here to help 🐶💚

Weird case Wednesday…except it’s Tuesday!
This is cat lice! We treated this cat with a vet prescribed topical treatment.
Cat lice is contagious from one cat to another and is species specific. If your cat has creepy crawlies it might be time to book an appointment!
