📚🍎 August Pets of the Month are in session! 🐾

School is back, and so are our newest "top students!" Congratulations to our August Pets of the Month, Reggit and Luna!

🐱 Reggit aka Big Rig is a handsome 2-year-old Maine C**n who traveled all the way from Ukraine to his forever home. When he's not supervising from his favorite window perch, he enjoys cat treats at work, relaxing face massages, and taking legendary naps on his back—complete with loud snores!

🐶 Luna is a sweet and playful 5-year-old Australian Shepherd who loves chasing tennis balls and playing tug-of-war with her best buddy, Hudson. She's always ready for an adventure and has a heart as big as her energy.

Okay... we owe you all an apology. 🙈💕

Our cameras have been working overtime, but our social media skills have apparently been taking a nap. 😴📸 We've been so busy loving on all these adorable new puppies and kittens that we've fallen a little behind on introducing them to everyone!

🐾 Meet Our July Pets of the Month! 🐾

This month, we're excited to celebrate two very special furry friends, Sasha and Ariel! ❤️

🐶 Sasha is a 13-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her smile. She is known for her sweet, gentle personality and loves long walks, searching for moles, and enjoying her favorite chicken jerky treats. One of her funniest habits is using the front of the sofa as a napkin after dinner! Her family says one of their favorite memories is when she brings their walking shoes onto the couch or bed—a not-so-subtle hint that she's ready for her next adventure.

🐱 Ariel is a 6-year-old gray long-haired tortoiseshell who came home with her sister, Gabriella, from a local horse farm. Although she's a cat, her family insists she's really a dog in disguise! Ariel loves belly rubs, naps, playing in her cat tunnel, and giving affectionate licks to everyone she loves. Her sweet, laid-back personality and love for the outdoors make her truly one of a kind, and she was fittingly named after her family's favorite Disney princess.

Congratulations to Sasha and Ariel, our July Pets of the Month! 🎉 Thank you to their families for sharing their wonderful stories with us. We love celebrating the amazing pets that make our hospital family so special and are grateful to care for such incredible companions. 💙🐾

Just a friendly reminder that Animal Hospital of Nicholasville will be CLOSED on Saturday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. ❤️🤍💙

🐾 We will be OPEN regular business hours on Friday, July 3rd and resume regular business hours on Monday, July 6th.

If your pet needs medication, food, or anything else before the holiday weekend, please give us a call or stop by before we close tomorrow.

It's time to introduce this month's Shelter Buddy crew, and we think you're going to love them!

Every month, Animal Hospital of Nicholasville sponsors the adoption fees for a few special pets chosen by one of our team members and one of our friends at Jessamine County Animal Care & Control. Our hope is to help these deserving animals find the loving homes they've been waiting for.

This month, Gracie from Animal Hospital of Nicholasville couldn't resist Mavis 🐱 and Sasha 🐶, while Samantha from Jessamine County Animal Care & Control picked Deb 🐶 and Binx 🐱.

Each of these sweet pets has their own unique personality, but they all have one thing in common—they're ready to find a family to call their own. 💙 And thanks to our Shelter Buddy program, their adoption fees are on us!

With temperatures soaring, Cora wanted to remind everyone that this heat is no joke! 🌞🐾 Even the most fashionable pups need plenty of fresh water, shade, and breaks from the hot pavement.

Remember:
🐶 Walk early in the morning or later in the evening.
💧 Keep fresh water available at all times.
🔥 If the pavement is too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.
🏡 When in doubt, stay inside where it’s cool!
