If your pet gets anxious during fireworks, now is the time to make a plan. Appointment availability becomes limited as the holiday approaches, so please call soon if you'd like to discuss anxiety medications or other calming options.

🚨 Reminder: Animal Hospital of Nicholasville will be CLOSED on July 4th. If your pet needs medication before the holiday, please contact us ahead of time.

We had a very special visitor today, Pickles 🐾💙

This sweet guy came along to support his brothers during their appointments… but if we’re being honest, we think his real mission was collecting attention from all the ladies up front. 😏

Safe to say he took his job as Emotional Support Supervisor very seriously — complete with front desk hangouts, charm, and plenty of quality cuddle time.

His brothers did great, and our honorary team member definitely earned extra cuddles for all his hard work today 🐶✨

🐾 June Pets of the Month! 🐾

This month we're celebrating two very special patients, Sweet Pea and Gabby!

Sweet Pea, our affectionate former stray, won hearts when she chose her family five years ago. Today, she spends her days birdwatching from the window and her nights racing through the house as "Thunder Paws" during her famous zoomies. Her favorite place to be? Curled up next to the people she loves.

Gabby, a 15-year-old Shih Tzu, has spent a lifetime charming everyone she meets. Whether she's riding in the car, traveling with her family, or reminding her humans exactly what she wants, Gabby keeps life interesting. She firmly believes she trained her family—not the other way around!

💙 Happy CSR Week to our amazing front desk team! 💙
At Animal Hospital of Nicholasville, our CSRs are the voices on the phone, the faces at the front desk—and the ones somehow keeping everything together when the phones won’t stop ringing and the schedule is full. (Basically, superheroes… just without the capes. 🐾)
Tracey brings a calm, steady presence. Lydia tackles each day with kindness and grace. Aleshia makes everyone feel welcomed and cared for. Jamison is always thinking ahead and helping us improve. Gracie jumps in wherever she’s needed—always kind and always helpful. And Suzanne splits time between managing the business side of things while happily assisting our clients. We are so grateful for each of you. And our team is always grateful for you, our clients, without you, we wouldn’t be here, and we love being here!
We also want to share that Lydia will be leaving us soon. While we’re excited for what’s ahead for her, she will be truly missed by both our team and our clients. 💙
