My 4 challenges at kyeac Kentucky Equine Adoption Center. All four are rescues. Lots of fear and lack of trust. They’re making progress for sure. We’ll see if Jin Shin Jyutsu is helpful for them. Good news is that one of the three mares I worked with last week has been adopted!! I can’t really take the credit, but I know from working with other rescues that Jin Shin Jyutsu helps. Have you adopted a horse, dog, or cat in the Lexington KY area? I can help you learn how to help them, even if their issues are years old. It’s just energy needing to be harmonized.

Meet Dorothy M., a 2015 15.2h Bay TB mare.

Dorothy is a lovely little mare who came to us from off the track. She had her last race on 6/27/2020, which does make her eligible for the 2022 TB makeover. She has settled in well to life at the Center and is progressing through her training. Dorothy has been ridden walk/trot under saddle and has shown a lovely even temperament.

Meet Will’s Hayday, a 2007 15.3h Bay TB gelding.
Will is a lovely guy who has been at the Center for a few months. He has progressed through our training program and has a solid foundation of groundwork training. He walks, trots, and canters in the round pen with and without a line. Will can be anxious at times and often needs reassurance that things are not as spooky as they may seem. Will is a people friendly horse and knows no stranger. At this time, Will would be perfect for an experienced rider who knows how to work with horses who can be unsure about their surroundings.
