Why does my pet need a cone (e-collar) after surgery? Yes we know that a cone is not always fun for you or your pet but, they do help your pet recover quicker from surgery! You don't want to let your pet get to the sutures and chew or lick them out!
We have seen some cases where the stitches have been chewed out and the poor pet has had to wear the cone even longer!
If you can't keep your eyes on your pet leave the cone on! It'll be off sooner than you realize!
