Our last spay day of 2025. We are still working hard with what time and space we have. We hope you had a great year and that 2026 brings you love and joy and positive change.

For 20 years, we worked with the most kind and compassionate woman who would take care of feral cats in New London, bring them to us to be spayed and neutered and vaccinated, and to be adopted out as well. We just got news that she has significant dementia, her house is being sold, and she has several cats that need to find new loving homes as assisted care cannot take in the cats. If they don’t get homes, unfortunately, they will be euthanized. We obviously want to do all we can to avoid that. We will cover updating vaccines and any other medical updates that need to happen. They are five years old. Please reach out if you want more information or interested in adopting. We will post to our website soon once we have more information on their personalities and genders

Up for Adoption: this sweet girl is looking for her new home. Her owner is going into a retirement facility that won’t let her have more than one cat, and she knows Hannah will fit into a new home more seamlessly. She is about 12 years old, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. Unsure how she would do with dogs. Please reach out if you are interested.

Meet “Amber”. She is a shy but sweet girl approximately 1 year old. She came to us from Norwich, and clearly had at least one litter of kittens in her short life so far. She is afraid, but has never tried to bite or scratch, even when her current foster (Carson— Foff board member) pull her out from the slats under the bed for socializing. She shakes in fear for the first 10-20 minutes of socialization, but then warms up, especially for belly rubs. She has purred, and has a sweet meow. She is polydactyl, sporting 6 toes on each front paw, 5 on one hind foot, and the typical 4 on the other hind foot. We are searching for her forever home, but also a foster In the meantime as Carson’s schedule does not offer the time needed to pull this sweet girl out of her shell. We also love a foster-to-adopt situation; a two week foster period where you can get to know her in your home if you are interested in adopting but want to ensure the personality match is a good one! Please reach out!

We have someone relocating their life up here to CT looking for a short term foster situation for her cats. Two boys. A month or two to start with very clear end date parameters set based on the foster availability, with food and litter provided by owner. Owner wants to keep them but needs to find an appropriate living situation. Please message for more details

Both are neutered and up to date with vaccines. Well mannered.

As we still navigate our new realities with FOFF (see our most recent newsletter if you don’t know what I’m talking about) we rely heavily on other organizations. Feral Cats Count is absolutely amazing! Please consider donating to support their kitty care. This is an urgent situation they could use help with! If you want to donate to FoFF in their honor, mark your Venmo, PayPal or check donation as “Dime” and we will make sure they get it!

Zinc is still looking for a home. He is the sweetest boy and deserves a loving family. Everyone is interested in kittens, but I cannot stress enough how lovely it is to get a cat just under/around a year old— they are out of the crazy destructive kitten phase and are so grateful to be off the street!
Older kittens are also the perfect combination for households that want another cat but are nervous to disrupt an older feline in the family. They don’t come with the crazy kitten chaos. Please fill out an application on our website or reach out here if you are interested!

We recently decided, as a board, that we need to look hard at the efficient use of our time, so our two annual fundraisers are cancelled indefinitely. While our tag sale and NPH fundraisers were fun and brought a large group of people together, they both required a lot of work from the volunteers. We need to focus our efforts more effectively on the in clinic work that is needed in this area, so with sadness, we decided they both got the cut. We thank and .animal.hospital for allowing us to take over their space and for their continued support of us!
