Dr. Paul's Animal Clinic is a small animal veterinary clinic located less than a mile south of Niagara. Operated exclusively by Dr. Paul Lindstrom, formerly of Hometown Animal Hospital. I am getting back into the business of veterinary care part time for a few reasons. 1. I miss my patients and their owners. 3. I want to provide quality veterinary medicine at a reasonable cost. In a month it will be one year since I announced I would be retiring and that you should get your records. At the end of July I will no longer respond to requests for records.

Today mark’s an end to a very successful career for my husband, Doctor Paul. When we met, he was a college student with dreams and aspirations. He was committed to being a veterinarian since his early years. I watched him persevere through undergrad and graduate school, completing his BS as valedictorian and completing veterinary school with honors. I saw him become an experienced, veterinarian who established two very successful businesses. As a veterinarian, he has always been caring, honest and fair. He is a man of integrity and always sought to care for his patients to the best of his ability, sometimes studying late at night in preparation for surgery, or reading over medical journals while on vacation. He was often willing to try to help a client when other veterinarians were afraid to take a risk. I watched him miraculously save animals by taking a chance, applying his wisdom and saying a prayer. Our family has many enriching memories: dogs giving birth in our laundry room; tiny puppies accompanying us on retreats because they needed constant feeding and attention; holding cats and dogs so that he could successfully give them injections; holding goats and pigs and birds so that he could administer care. There are so many stories! To say that I am proud of his achievements would be an understatement! It has been an honor to watch his career and a blessing to see the best of him shine, as he served his clients and their beloved pets. Well done, honey! I love you and I am so very proud of you!!

I opened Dr. Paul’s Animal Clinic in 2017 and have sincerely enjoyed being able to provide you all with service these past years. However; I must announce that at the end of this year I will be closing to the public. It is just too much for me to handle anymore (I’m no spring chicken). You can all thank Bob Foster for getting me through the last couple of years. I am NOT dying of any medical problem so let’s not get those rumors started. I’m just tired and would like to devote some of the rest of my life to other interests and family. The clinic will continue to operate as normal until the end of December but I wanted to give you this time to collect your records for whoever you choose to replace me. May I suggest you bring your cellphone to take photos of records because I simply cannot copy them all for you. Again, it has been a pleasure and I’m sorry but I’m exhausted. Dr. Paul

People, if you think your pet is ill and may need to be seen call a vet, any vet, NOW! I can pretty much guarantee you that you will not get an appointment today, or tomorrow or even this week. Whether you realize it or not the entire UP and northern wisconsin, if not the nation, is currently overwhelming the capacity of the veterinary community to be able to keep up with demand. Cancel the appointment if you don't need it. It will be filled in an hour. I am not taking any new clients and am seriously struggling to keep up with the clients I have. Do not wait until the last minute!
