WE ARE CLOSING NEWTOWN VETERINARY CENTER
It is with great sadness that, for personal reasons, I will no longer be able to continue operating Newtown
Veterinary Center. As a regrettable outcome of this, we will be closing our practice within the next three to
four weeks.
Our staff and I have developed such wonderful relationships with both our clients and patients over the last
eleven years, and we will always have a place in my heart for them. Over these eleven years, we have seen
many patients grow from puppies to seniors. We have seen many new pets come into our lives, and we have
seen many of our beloved patients pass. We are honoured to have helped provide the best care that we
could, and hopefully we were able to reduce much suffering during this time.
During the next several weeks, we will try to accommodate as many of our patient’s needs as we can. We
apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. We would like your transition for finding quality vet care
to be as seamless as possible.
We will have all patient records available for our clients, so you may take them to wherever you choose for
your veterinary care. I will continue to make your patient records available for three years. As we are a
paperless practice, it is easiest to send you the patient records as a PDF via email, though we can also print and
mail them if you don’t have access to email or a computer. These PDS’s may be directly emailed to any
veterinarian that you would like. We will also attach all recent labwork/reports etc. Please send any requests
to [email protected]. You may also direct any questions after we close to this email address.
It will remain active for three years.
Many of our clients have participated in our Preventive Healthcare Plans for their pets with Newtown
Veterinary Center. Most have used more services and discounts than they paid for the plan, and we a glad you
were able to benefit from the plans. For those that have not used your benefits, we would encourage anyone
that has plans to call and try and get as many of the benefits you can before we close. We will attempt to
reimburse those clients that haven’t received benefits exceeding what they paid for the plans. However, funds
are limited, so we encourage scheduling the covered services as soon as possible. We will also allow clients to
receive products and services not in the plan to help offset the difference.
Lastly, I want to thank you for your trust in me and my staff as your pets’ caregiver. I will miss all my furry
patients (and their owners too). I wish you well and hope our paths cross again.
Sincerely,
J. Chris Mixon, DVM
