What can your dog’s gum color tell you?

Healthy gums are usually pink and moist.

But changes in color can sometimes signal a problem:
🩷 Pink: Usually healthy.
⚪ Pale/white: May indicate anemia, shock, or poor circulation.
🔵 Blue/purple: Possible oxygen or circulation problem- seek urgent veterinary care.
🟡 Yellow: May be linked to jaundice.
🔴 Bright red: Can indicate inflammation, overheating, or other health concerns.

💡 Important: Some dogs naturally have dark or pigmented gums, so knowing your dog’s normal gum color is key.

If your dog’s gums suddenly change color or look abnormal, contact your veterinarian promptly.
