We are open to walk-in experience this weekend for Jerry the sloth, Mowgli the Binturong and Zero the Fennec Fox.

Jerry the Sloth - $30 for 15 minutes, $15 for 5 minute per person experience.

Zero the Fennec Fox - $15 per person for 10 minutes

Mowgli the Binturong - $15 per person for 10 minutes.

General admission

Adults- $15
17 and under- $12
2 and under are free to

We are going to have a customer appreciation give away. Please post your favorite picture you took at the zoo of animals or with an animal and let your friends know to like and share your photo to win. The zoo staff will vote on a tie breaker who has the best picture and you will win a free experience for two of your choice. It could be Fox, Sloth or Binturong. Good luck everyone.

We will be closed Saturday July 4 so that staff can be home with their families for the holiday. We will be back to normal hours Sunday 12 to 5 pm. Thank you

This is Zero the Fennec Fox. He about 15 weeks old and learning to work with the public. He will be doing one on one experiences starting this week. He came to the zoo at about 5 weeks old because he’s mother left him as she was a new mom and he was an aggressive eater. He’s experiences are first come first serve and only on his terms. Once he is done he is done. We can not guarantee any certain times or days. It will be $15 a person and for groups of up to 4 at a time.

We will be changing your one on one experiences come June 1st.

Baby kangaroos are growing up and getting too old to be in a pouch to hold so we will be just selling bottle for you to feed while they are running around in the general admission area.

Goats are growing up to start taking more veggies and less bottles so they will be in the general admission area with an option to buy a bottle to feed them in there.

Jerry the sloth is still being Jerry and we
will still have the 15 minute experience but they will require an appointment. If he is still wanting to interact after his appointments then we will make 5 minute shorter appointments on his terms.

Fennec fox experience will have an option of either Finley the original fennec everyone love to play with or we will also have Zero our new little male. He will have limited visits as he is still only 10 weeks and everything is done on the animals terms when they are done they are done.

Pricing will be

Sloth 15 minutes - $30 per person with up to 4 people at once. 5 and under free with a paid adult for this experience.

Sloth 5 minutes - $15 per person with up to 4 people at a time.

Fennec fox 10 minutes - $15 a person

Binturong 10 minutes - $15 a person

Goat bottles - $5

Kangaroo bottles - $10

We had our crew breakfast here today. This is going to be our new go to for Sundays now. Well worth it.

It's our Sunday Brunch Buffet today from 9am to 2pm. All of our usual breakfast items and our Hawaiian favorites for the lunch side.
It's all you can eat breakfast and lunch, with salad bar, dessert and beverage.
$25 adults, $20 Seniors and $15 for kids.

Chief got his regular manicure pedicure and his hair did 💈💅. We have a large bag of his hair here if anyone is interested in picking it up. First come first serve. It’s free. Several people in the past have asked to get it so here we are. PM us and we can get you it. Thanks

Newport Zoo is looking for someone to help with morning cleanup. It will be for part time hours. You will be shoveling, sweeping, changing bedding, pressure washing cage, cleaning glass, doing dishes, dusting. You will need to have your own reliable transportation. You need to be able to live 50lb bags of feed and hay, load garbage bags in a truck. You will be working around animals but not particularly with animals.

Pay will depend on experience and reliability.

Newport Zoo will be adopting these two Niger dwarf goats. They are 2 year old Wethers and have been bottle raised and acclimated to other animals as well. They will need to go together.
