✨ Fresh From the PRSA Awards… Sitting in My Car, Full of Gratitude ✨

I literally just pulled into my driveway from tonight’s PRSA Awards and hit record before I even stepped out of my car — because that’s how full my heart is right now.

Yes, I’m tired.
But I am also extremely happy, inspired, and proud.

Tonight, I had the privilege of watching my coworkers shine in the most incredible way. Our Media Relations team, Creative/Graphic team, and Marketing team brought home multiple Pinnacle Awards, and every single one was well-deserved.

Their creativity, innovation, and dedication were seen, celebrated, and honored — and it reminded me just how blessed I am to be part of a department that truly loves what they do.

These awards weren’t just wins…
They were a reflection of passion, teamwork, and excellence on full display.

I may still be in my car, exhausted from a long night —
but I couldn’t wait to share how proud I am of the amazing people I get to work alongside every day.

Congratulations to everyone recognized tonight. You make the City of Newport News shine. 🌟

You can’t force someone to stay who doesn’t want to.
You can’t force interviewers to choose you for a job.
You can’t force doors that God Himself has closed.

But here’s the promise: you also can’t stop what God has already set in motion. If it’s His will, it will come to pass—in His perfect timing.

That’s true in relationships, careers, and yes, even in real estate. The right buyer, the right seller, the right home—it all lines up when God says, “Now.”

I recently watched a video that said “Renting can make you richer” — and I agreed with a lot of it.

As a Realtor, my job isn’t just to help you buy a home… it’s to make sure you’re ready to buy one without losing your financial peace.

Mortgage ≠ Rent.
Owning a home means taxes, repairs, insurance, maintenance… and the emotional stress if something breaks.

Here's my 5-question checklist for anyone considering buying:
✅ Will you live there at least 10 years?
✅ Do you have a 20% down payment plus an emergency fund?
✅ Are your total housing costs under 28% of your income?
✅ Can you handle the value dropping 10% and still sleep at night?
✅ Are you buying for YOU — or for validation?
