IF YOU HAVE A DOG - pay attention
2023 strep zoo (doggie covid) recommendations:
1. If you can avoid sending your dog to boarding or daycare, please do so. This is where a lot of cases have come from.
2. Avoid dog parks or any places where there will be large groups of dogs.
3. Get the canine influenza vaccine. It might not help, but it definitely can’t hurt.
4. Never let your dog use a common water bowl, such as at a dog park, even if you’re there alone.
5. Wipe down your dog with dog wipes after every outing if possible.
6. Do not allow dogs to have ANY contact with other dogs whatsoever.
7. If you see any symptoms, get the dog to a vet ASAP. The faster you act, the better your chances are of having a favorable outcome.
