Our rescue is a labor of love and passion for ending the killing of dogs and other animals in our nation's shelters. More than 9,000 animals day every single day in U.S. I have wanted to do something meaningful for animals for many years. Finally, with the help of family and friends, my dream of saving lives is coming true. You can see our first rescue, Pepper, in our post section. We pulled her f

rom the Carson shelter the day before she would have been killed, and she is now a beloved member of our family. As of mid-July 2015, we are in the process of buying a place from which to run our rescue group in Orange County, California. We plan on starting to rescue dogs by September 2015. Stay tuned for all of our progress, including the purchase and renovation of our property, our fundraisers, and of all the lives we will save!

Today we want to highlight a very special Rescue dog that we have, Monty.

Monty is an absolute gem to this world! He loves playing with his toys, other dogs, and most definitely his food!! I almost don't want anyone to adopt him, I love him so much. Happy Monday Friends!! Each week will continue to post the most adorable pictures of some of our rescues here at Home Free. Today the spotlight is on Luna, our little witch 🧙‍♀️🧙‍♀️🧙‍♀️

Luna is about 9 years old and is a terrier mix. I have got to know her over the last year and she is such a wonderful and sweet dog. She loves attention, getting, and receiving love. Luna enjoys her toys, exploring new places on walks, but most of all she loves being with people 💜
