FOSTER OPPORTUNITY 📣📣🐾

So recently we had 3 pups from different litters returned to our rescue for various reasons - none of which were the dogs fault. But as a result, we have 3 of these 5 month old black beauties in ONE foster home. Plus that foster home has another large breed adult to add to the mix (Lyanna).

While the puppies get along fabulously with one another and the other dogs in the foster home, one foster only has so much time to give each the proper training, walks, socialization etc. If you’ve had one puppy, you know 3 is a lot of work.

We’d love to find a FOSTER home for at least one to two of the pups so they can receive more one on one time living in a home with day to day life.

We have 1 male and 2 females and you can see them on our website - Lilah, Lily and Archie. (Lily & Archie are from our Tecate litter).

Bee 🐝 is the last of our Parson Russell Terrier girls who were found being given away at the swap meet. She’s about 10 lbs and 13 weeks old.

Bee has the best foster and as a result she’s very well mannered and comes with some basic training under her belt. Bee should mature in the medium breed range when full grown (around 25 - 30 lbs of adorable scruff)!

JOELLE

Joelle is a 2 year old 8 lb Chihuahua who is happy to be a Lovebug! Joelle is a bit shy when you first meet her, but she warms up quickly. She is friendly with other dogs and loves playing with the other small dog in her foster home.

Joelle is well mannered around the home and is doing great on her potty training. She is super adorable with her perky ears and green eyes!

The best type of home for Joelle would be one on the quiet side with less coming and going. She’d love for her family to be around so they can spend time together. Apply to adopt Joelle at www.lovebugsrescue.org

Our little Roxie enjoying some sunshine over the weekend. ☀️🐾

This sweet gal was surrendered back to our rescue at 14 years old. She is a purebred Shih Tzu weighing just 10 lbs. She is on medication for dry eye, and a bladder infection. She is doing well and taking her meds like a champ.

We did get her bloodwork back today and aside from a high white blood cell count due to fighting off all the infection in her body, her levels look good. And her heart is strong! This means we have an opportunity to do an anesthetic dental on her in a few weeks.

Roxie could very well have a few years left in her, so we want to make her as comfortable as possible. Dental disease goes right to the bloodstream and a dental could greatly improve her quality of life.

We will be looking for a special furever home for our senior sweetie. Someone who can treat her with dignity and give her a soft place to land during her golden years. Could that be you?

📣📣 Clementine wanted to stop by and say thank you to those of you who donated towards her surgery!

Clementine had a long soft palate blocking her airway which was clipped back and her tonsils were removed. There was quite a bit of tissue deep within her nose that was removed as part of her NARES surgery. She was also spayed!

Thank you for taking our sweet gal on and providing her with these surgeries that will greatly improve her quality of life.

Clementine is recovering in her foster home and doing so well. She will be looking for her forever home with a Frenchie lover. Could that be you? Learn more at www.lovebugsrescue.org

Meet our newest Lovebug Lyanna 💔🐾 She was found roaming the streets looking for scraps. Lyanna was rail thin weighing just 40 lbs. Thankfully @logans_legacy29 scooped her up to safety because it turns out she had a life threatining condition called pyometra. This is when the uterus is infected and needs to be removed before it ruptures. Lyanna had her surgery and received lots of TLC from @caminopethospital and now she’s a Lovebug hoping to find her forever home! We are just getting her settled so we’ll need a little time to get to know her better. She’s very timid, but we can’t wait to see her blossom! We are guessing she’s bout 4 years old and looks like a Boxer/Rottie mix.
