Bresse will lay 250 eggs per year and they have a great disposition. Bresse are heat and cold tolerant and are very easy to care for, making them a great dual purpose bird. Bresse have been around for over 500 years and originated in France. Bresse are the only chickens in the world that are protected by government, don't worry ours were imported legally. Bresse hens will weigh around 5.5 lbs., Roosters are typically around 7 pounds. Bresse will start laying around 4.5 months.
