Mystery Pup Alert! 🕵️‍♂️
One of our beloved therapy pups is hiding behind the star of secrecy… Can you guess who or what breed they are?
Is it Annie the playful lab?
Is it Archie the stylish poodle?
Is it Eden the elegant athlete?

After 5 years of service, Riley Krug is retiring from her duties as a Therapy Dog. During that time, she touched the lives, however briefly, of thousands of people in the community. She went wherever she was needed: nursing homes, hospitals, camps for those with disabilities or other challenges, universities, Emergency Communication Centers, schools, libraries and more. She even worked on her “dogtorate by participating in a Doctoral Thesis research project at a local university! Throughout, she was a calm, gentle girl who patiently interacted with people of all ages and backgrounds.
Now it’s time to hang up her vest. Her advancing age is catching up to her and more couch time is in her future. I want to thank Melissa Saul and the members of CAREing Paws of Georgia for their support and encouragement as Riley and I grew from Pet Therapy Team rookies to an experienced and confident duo. It has been an amazingly rewarding adventure, one that I am grateful and proud to have shared with Riley.

Please welcome Karen & Klaus to the CAREing Paws family!
Karen says that therapy dog work is their ministry. Their goal is to reach people who are hurting, anxious, lonely and in need of the love of a dog. Karen is an oncology RN. Her job is very stressful because most of her patients have Stage IV cancer.
In a recent study from a cancer hospital in Boston, the research revealed that regular time with therapy dogs reduced the anxiety level of doctors and nurses caring for cancer patients. Klaus and Karen want to help ease pain, bring joy and offer kindness to anyone who is in need.
Welcome Karen & Klaus!
