Pets can’t tell us when something feels off.

Routine bloodwork can catch changes early, sometimes before symptoms show up and helps us build a clearer picture of your pet’s health over time.

Ask us about early disease detection bloodwork at your next visit.

Valentine's Day is sweet, but keep these things away from your pets! 🍫💐

Chocolate is toxic, even in small amounts. The darker the chocolate, the more dangerous.

Xylitol in sugar-free candy causes life-threatening drops in blood sugar. Lilies are deadly to cats, even the pollen. Roses have thorns that can injure mouths and paws. Ribbons and cellophane from gift wrap cause intestinal blockages.

Keep flowers up high and chocolates secured. Celebrate your pet with a pet-safe treat or extra playtime instead.

If your pet gets into something they shouldn't, call us at (603) 431-3600 or Poison Control at (888) 426-4435.

Don't forget hydration in winter! 💧

Indoor heating dehydrates pets just like summer heat. Ensure fresh water is always available. Check outdoor bowls for ice.

Signs of dehydration: dry gums, sunken eyes, lethargy, poor skin elasticity.

Try room-temperature water or a fountain to encourage drinking.

Holiday parties can be overwhelming for pets! 🏠

Some pets love the excitement; others need quiet space.

Help anxious pets by creating a calm retreat with their bed, toys, and water. Maintain routines. Consider calming supplements or pheromone diffusers.

Watch for signs of stress: hiding, panting, appetite loss, aggression.

If your pet struggles with severe anxiety, we can discuss medication options.

Holiday feasts smell amazing — but they can be dangerous for pets! 🍽️

Dangerous foods include chocolate, xylitol, grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, cooked bones, alcohol, and unbaked yeast dough.

Even small amounts can be life-threatening. Keep human food out of reach and remind guests not to share.
