This loving interaction between Princess Darsha, a blind cow, and Lou Bear, a young steer orphaned at birth, really brings me to tears.
For so long, Lou Bear rejected Darsha because he perceived her as different. Even when the other cows chased him away, and the older steer rejected him.
But as he grew older, Lou Bear began to realize what is truly important.
And that is letting in the ones who really love you and would miss you terribly if you were gone.
I saw that love clearly when Lou Bear recently went to the hospital.
Princess Darsha missed him so deeply while he was away.
Ever since he got back, she has been loving on him constantly, refusing to leave his side.
Their beautiful bond reminds me so much of us as humans.
Just like Lou Bear, we often push away the very love we need, even when we feel isolated and rejected by the world.
Yet, God is always there, loving us unconditionally despite our flaws, our blindness, or our past rejections.
Like Princess Darsha, He is awaits us until we are finally ready to receive His love.
If a gentle cow can show this much devotion, imagine how much more deeply God loves us and longs for us to just rest in His presence.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”—Matthew 7:7
