Hey! I haven’t posted for a while, just wanted to let you know that I will be closed and not taking any calls or messages starting May 23rd through June 1st because i’m going on a much needed vacation! You’re welcome to submit appointment requests, I will review them when i’m back to work!

“I’d love for you to come to my farm and groom my Great Pyrenees, but why is it so expensive?”

I’ve had a lot of questions about mobile grooming farm dogs and the short answer is: It’s a TON of work.. I dont want to scare people away with the price, so please read if you have a minute.

There’s a reason you want a groomer to groom your dog. You don’t want the work or the mess, you don’t have the tools and knowledge to do it and that’s perfectly fine! I really enjoy grooming these big guys and getting them sparkly clean is so satisfying. However, we have to think of how much work and time it takes to do so.

In the time it takes to get one of these dogs done I could groom 2-3 smaller breeds and have 50% less physical labor, and probably make more money. Not only that, it costs money in fuel and products to get these guys cleaned up.

Even after your dog is clean and I go on my way, I have a giant mess to clean up when I get home. These dogs absolutely trash the groomers work area, and we don’t get paid for clean up time.

This particular dog took 50 gallons of water. I could only do one or two more dogs after this if he were a mobile groom because my dirty water holding tank cannot be let out just anywhere. This dog is pretty much my whole day.

Please keep these things in mind when you ask for a quote and the groomer gives you a decently high number. This doesn’t just go for me, this goes for all groomers! These guys can be exhausting!

I’ve been fully moved into the grooming van for 3 days and have groomed 19 dogs and one cat (my own cat) in those three days. Some on the road for trials and some at home. To say we love the van would be an understatement!

🐶The dogs love the freedom of being lose in it, they love the windows, and bathtub. They seem to love everything about it. Even my cat Kitty, who hates being groomed had a great response🐯

🐶The van is so efficient! grooms go so smooth, bathing and drying time has gone way down.

🐶 I have started the process of using a new scheduling system. Im hoping to be fully moved over to it by April 11th. Once it’s switched over I will be accepting mobile appointments! A price sheet will be posted soon! Grooms will be charged by the hour, this sounds expensive (i know) but remember the vans efficiency and convenience!

Thanks for going on this journey with me! Current customers will recieve a text when the new system is up and will have first chance to move their appointments to mobile!

The van is almost done! I haven’t started taking mobile appointments yet because I want to use it for a few weeks so i know the water usage. This is Kota’s opinion on the first bath in the van 🤣

I know your dogs are starting to shed, my schedule is pretty full but some appointments are available so be sure to get on and get scheduled. When the van is done I will be moved into it while grooming here at home still. Current clients will recieve a text announcment when mobile grooming appointments are available and will have first choice to move their appointment to mobile.

Wanda’s brother, Hoss came for a good bath and deshed. The double coated dogs are starting to blow their coats! If you’re noticing more and more hair by the day, now is the time to get scheduled! The first week of March is already very limited and the second week has quite a few appointments taken.

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone’s holiday season went well! Here’s a little announcement for the new year.

When you schedule online you’ll notice that new, and established customers will be required to add a card to be kept on file. This is nothing personal, going mobile is closer than ever (thanks to my husband for all his hard work) and all customers will be required to have a form of payment on file in order to take advantage of mobile grooming services, this way I can get a jump start on gathering that information as we go along. You can still pay cash! I actually prefer cash.

If you’re curious about how mobile grooming will work, and what it will cost please shoot me a message. I do have a rough price list worked out. it may be subject to change, but not by much. There are perks to having multiple dogs! I have made it as affordable as possible. I know it’s been a concern for some people! so if you’re interested please don’t be afraid to ask about it!
