📅 Nominate Your Pup for “Dog Mayor” through Friday, October 3rd!
Does your dog have what it takes to be Newburyport’s next honorary Dog Mayor? Mayor Sean Reardon is happy to announce the first-ever search for Newburyport’s Dog Mayor!
We’re looking for paws-itively amazing pups who shine with:
🐶 Community Spirit
Friendly, kind, and involved in town life!
📸 Charm & Personality
Let their photo and story win hearts!
🌟 Originality
Creative, funny, or heartwarming—wow us!
🗳️ How It Works:
📍 Submit your nomination by October 3rd!
Submission link can be found below. It will include:
🐾 A clear, adorable photo
🐾 A short write-up (Why your dog should be mayor!)
A special 5-person selection committee including our very own Animal Control Officer, a local vet, 2 residents, and a local business owner will review all submissions and choose the winner!
🏆 Our Dog Mayor Will:
✔️ Be sworn in at a city event
✔️ Star in a social media campaign promoting pet owner responsibility
✔️ Appear at a local event in “official” capacity
✔️ Receive donated local treats & Newburyport swag!
