A little information that might help some people understand the cost of buying a genetically/mentally sound healthy puppy:
Many dog breeders here in the United States breed all types of dogs. Many do so based on personal preferences and often times looks. The dogs look amazing yet there are many underlying health problems, poor temperaments and behavioral issues. Many of these dogs lack the fortitude to learn complex training necessities required by police departments or the military. Even more so, many, do not have the nerves to do protection work and WILL NEVER RISE to the occasion to protect their loved ones! I have been dedicating a lot of my time recently in the training and consultation of such types of dogs! One recently purchased puppy from a non- professional breeder became so ill it almost died at 6 months old. The puppy was born with a genetic deformity in which it's intestines were not properly formed and it cost the family nearly 10k in surgeries to save it's life! Yes, 10,000.00 DOLLARS!!! So what is the point you might ask:
Good quality dogs are not cheap! Like everything else in life that is of good quality, superiorly breed dogs are not cheap. Amish backyard breed German Shepherds are not the same as those breed at Raptor K9. Heck, I dare to say they are not the same as many other places! So you can pay 500-600 bucks for a beautiful puppy at these inferior kennels and deal with all the above or spend your money on a quality product and none of the above. Simple choice.
