We received a package today from Amazon and when we opened it, it seems to be a Easter gift for a child. We think it belongs to someone who has ordered things for our shelter at one point but forgot to change the address when they ordered something else. Meet Chase!!!! He is a 5yr old German Shepherd. Chase has suffered from skin problems all his life. We have finally found a food and meds that have been helping him slowly. Unfortunately he will most likely have to stay on this food and meds for the remainder of his life. Our shelter is looking to add treats for him so he doesn't feel left from the other dogs. We have added a bunch of different types he is allowed to have to our amazon wish list. It's located in the most needed list.
If you or someone you know is interested in Chase come fill out an application. He is the most amazing dog and has the biggest heart.

Our shelter is in need of a cage or rodent aquarium that would be ideal for a rat. She is only 6 weeks old and maybe 5 inches big right now. Unfortunately every cage we have here is either too small or the metal grates on them are too big where she could squeeze through them. If anyone has something that they aren't using anymore we could really use it. Thank you for always looking out for all these animals.

Doberman and golden Retriever spotted on Lakeside Rd going towards route 52. Both dogs were spotted on ring camera last night around 8pm. Please keep an eye out for these dogs. If spotted or caught please call Town Of Newburgh Animal Control at 845-561-3344.

Need a rabies shot for your dog, cat, or ferret? Don't worry we will be holding a FREE RABIES CLINIC on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, at the Town of Newburgh Highway Department in collaboration with the Orange County Department of Health. Pre-registration is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and must be done through the Town of Newburgh Clerks office at (845) 564-4554. The clinic is open to ORANGE COUNTY RESIDENTS ONLY. If there are any questions about the clinic, please contact the Town Clerks office. We will also be accepting donations for our shelter as well. Items acceptable for donation will be linked in our Biggest Needs Amazon Wishlist below.
