🌪🐾 Pet Safety Tips for the Upcoming Tropical Storm

With the storm approaching South Carolina, here are a few quick ways to keep your pets safe:

1️⃣ Bring pets inside – Keep them safe from high winds, lightning, and flying debris.
2️⃣ Prepare an emergency kit – Include food, water, medications, leashes, and copies of vet records.
3️⃣ Update ID tags & microchips – In case you get separated, make sure your contact info is current.
4️⃣ Create a safe space – Set up a quiet area away from windows to help reduce stress.
5️⃣ Avoid flooded areas – Flood waters can hide debris, wildlife, and bacteria dangerous to pets.

🐶🐱 Your pet’s safety is our priority—please plan ahead and stay safe!

🌡️🔥 High Temps in SC This Week — Keep Your Pets Safe! 🔥🌡️

It’s going to be a scorcher here in South Carolina this week, with temperatures soaring into the 90s and beyond! 🥵

☀️ Here are a few heat safety tips to keep your furry family members safe and cool:

🐾 Never leave pets in a parked car — even for “just a minute.”
🐾 Walk early or late — avoid hot pavement that can burn paws.
🐾 Provide plenty of fresh, cool water at all times.
🐾 Ensure shade and ventilation if your pet is outside.
🐾 Watch for signs of heatstroke: excessive panting, drooling, vomiting, or lethargy — if you notice these, call us ASAP.

Let’s keep tails wagging and paws happy all summer long! 🌴🐶🐱

📞 Have questions or concerns? Give us a call — we’re here to help! :)

☀️ Summer Staff Spotlight – Day 2!
Meet Michelle’s pups, Rusty and Lupin! These two are not fans of the summer heat 😅—they’d much rather stay cool and cozy indoors.

You can usually find them vibing in the A/C, lounging on the hardwood floors, and avoiding anything that even resembles a sunbeam. True pros at beating the heat! 🐶❄️

Not every dog loves the outdoors in summer, and that’s okay—comfort is key!

🌞 Summer Staff Spotlight – Day 1! 🐾
Meet Miley’s pup, Banx! This summer, Banx has been soaking up the sunshine and staying very busy with outdoor fun.

🐚 He kicked off summer with a trip to Hunting Island, one of South Carolina’s most beautiful pet-friendly beaches. Banx got to play in the waves with his brother Gunner and explore the coastline—definitely a beach day to remember!

🌊When he’s not chasing waves, Banx has been paddle boarding on Lake Murray and gearing up for duck season by practicing his retrieving skills. He’s been out on the water fetching bumpers like a champ! Talk about a water-loving Lab!

Stay tuned all week as we highlight what our staff (and their pets!) have been up to this summer. We love seeing our four-legged friends live their best lives!
