🐾 Update from Lucy & Mollie 🐾

Well friends… we thought we were reopening today… but then the cabinet people said “SURPRISE, we’re coming!” 😳

So Mom started emptying drawers, clearing counters, and muttering things under her breath… and just like that—no baking today. 😬

BUT… here’s the good news! 🎉
This is the FINAL step in our home refresh, which means we are sooo close to being back in the kitchen making all your favorite treats again! 🐶🍪

We are now planning to reopen our online store on Monday 6/15 🛒💕

Thank you for being so patient with us. We didn’t realize this refresh would take quite this long… but apparently humans don’t control construction timelines 🤦🏼‍♀️

We promise it will be worth the wait—and we can’t WAIT to bake for all our friends again!! 💛

Cautionary “Tail” from our house 🐾

I owe Miss Mollie Grace an apology. 🤦🏼‍♀️

What I thought was an anxiety attack turned out to be something completely different…

During all our painting and kitchen redo, I had a scent warmer going to cover the strong smells. That was the day Mollie had her “episode”—panting, pacing, needing outside.

Fast forward to our cozy cabin over Memorial Day weekend… I turned on a warmer there and within minutes—same thing.

💡 Lightbulb moment.

I covered the warmer, aired everything out… and just like that, no more symptoms.

Those warmer cubes went straight in the trash, and now the cute warmers will live their best life as night lights.

We got lucky. Some scented products can cause much more serious reactions in pets.

Sharing in case it helps another pet parent connect the dots a little sooner than I did. 💛🐾

We are excited to begin another year at the Main St Dyersburg Farmers Market, but first, we have a very special Celebration on our books!

We will be partying Sat 6/13th in celebration on our Grand’s 2nd birthday, so we will miss Opening Day. We will begin our Season Sat 6/20. Moments in Grandchildren’s lives pass in the blink of an eye, and as Grandparents, we do not want to miss them.

Enjoy the Opening Day Market and all the wonderful Vendors, and we will see y’all 6/20th after we have gotten all our loves and kisses and sung Happy Birthday at the top of our lungs. 💕

Mom says today is all about Moms…so obviously it’s about her…but we know the truth. 😌🐾

Lucy here…
Mom is my safe place. My person. My “I will follow you from room to room even if you just went there” human. She gives the best snuggles, whispers sweet things in my ears, and always makes sure I feel brave…even when I’m not. ❤️

Mollie here…
Let’s not forget who REALLY runs this place. I supervise. I protect. I taste-test when necessary. But yeah…Mom does a pretty great job keeping our world spinning. She feeds us, loves us, and apparently thinks I “need supervision.” Rude…but accurate. 😏

To all the Moms out there—dog moms, human moms, and the ones who love us like their own…you are everything. 💕

Momma gave us this magical red treasure called a strawberry… and let me tell you—it was LOVE at first bite. Sweet, juicy, gone in 2 seconds flat. Naturally, I went back for more because I am a smart and efficient eater.

And what do I see??

Mollie.

With her strawberry.

Just… laying there on the floor like it’s decorative.

Excuse me??

So I did what any reasonable, clearly more qualified strawberry consumer would do—I moved in. Slowly. Respectfully. Like a strawberry ninja.

But NOPE.

Miss “I’m Not Eating It But It’s Mine” threw down her giant paws and blocked access like she was guarding Fort Knox. RUDE. If you’re not gonna eat it, why are we playing keep-away?!

I tried again. Sneak level: expert.
She tightened the paw perimeter.

At this point I would like to file a formal complaint.

Then—plot twist—Momma walked over, picked up the abandoned strawberry, and handed it to ME. As she should.

And she told Mollie:
“We don’t waste delicious food here.”

Exactly, Momma. Exactly.

Justice was served. 🍓

Mom has officially lost her ever-lovin’ mind again.

She wrestled me into this lipstick pink shirt like I’m headed to some kind of fancy garden party. First of all…wrong size. This thing is snugger than a tick on a hound. I can’t even breathe dramatic enough in it.

And THEN…as if my dignity wasn’t already hanging by a thread…Lucy has made it her full-time job to follow me around sniffing it like I rolled in bacon or bad decisions.

You want it so bad, Lucy? TAKE IT. Put it on her, Mom. Let her be the fashion icon of the family. I, for one, prefer to live my life the way nature intended…

FREE. UNENCUMBERED. NAKED.

Honestly, Mom needs a new hobby.
