Our Story
Jeff and Gillian Scarpino are a husband and wife team who not only love dogs, but have a passion to help them live their best lives possible. Almost 10 years ago, after losing their dog “Jibber” when he chased a car (a behavior fueled by his impulsiveness and aggression), they immersed themselves in as much education as they could get their hands on to understand what went wrong and why they lost their boy. Their devestation served a purpose, and today, they are both members of the International Association of Canine Professionals, and Jeff is an IACP Certified Dog Trainer. Their mission is to strengthen the human-canine bond, while teaching dogs to acheive a calm state of mind and teaching owners how to communicate in the most effective ways. They offer a doggie daycare program, overnight boarding, and many dog training options, from 1 time consultations to 3 week board and train options. OTBT is a working kennel and all dogs who stay with us are socialized (after an extensive behavioral check). Excessive running, rough play, and heightened energy levels are not allowed, instead the packs are kept calm and the focus is on light play and healthy socialization. All programs that are in place are designed to Create Calmer Canines and empower owners to achieve lasting results with their dogs. We look forward to meeting you!
