Carolinas Chapter of NAVHDA NAVHDA is an excellent complement to the activities of sporting dog breed clubs and field trial organizations.

Our Purpose
The North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association is a legally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering, improving, promoting, and protecting the versatile hunting dog in North America. Underlying these aims is the desire to serve the interests of game conservation, prevention of cruelty to animals, and the gun dog hunter by helping the hunter to train his dog to wor

k before and after the shot, on land and in water. It was created to supplement the activities of those clubs by providing a proven, standard method of evaluating the performance of all versatile hunting dogs, consistent with North American hunting practices, regardless of breed.

Congratulations to all the chapter members who ran the Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. All of you are an inspiration and I am sure the pups had a great time!

Congratulations to Beth Robinson, Mike Laconto, Brian Dietz, Gretchen Stephenson, Blake and Stacy Horst, Delita Rosenbaum, and Sue McKinney. I know many of you ran several UT tests to get to the Invitational. Your determination is admirable and you have a heart of gold. You are all amazing people and your dogs are quite the characters.

Win lose or draw, everyone did a great job. You created an experience that you can share with others are your life rolls forward.

We had another extremely productive training day this past weekend. From first timers, to handlers of Versatile Champions, each hand in the pot makes the community stronger. Teamwork, volunteering, and helping one another accomplish their goals with their dogs is what we do this for. Keep on helping, and keep on training! 46 days out from “hunt em up!”
