My Buddy Writes: Meet Champ, the "Champ" of the couch potato lifestyle and the "Champ" of winning first place in the unofficial adorable, cuddly land seal competition. While he enjoyed our short walk from the car to the front door sniffing around the grass for the latest gossip, Champ blossomed and eased into his best self curled up next to humans who showered him with love and presence. Calm and winning the hearts of adults, 2 children aged 7 and 9 as well as a grandma in her 60s, this couch potato instantly transformed our home into one of warmth and peace. He would follow his favorite humans around the home during our boroughbreak and would sit respectfully for a yummy treat while admiring us as if we were the greatest loves of his life. If you are looking for a land seal to cherish and be a furever member of your loving family, look no further. Champ is your guy.

Nearly a year ago, Freddie (formerly Prince) was at risk at Manhattan ACC. But then Karen adopted him—and now he’s living his best life. He recently ran into our dog placement coordinator on the subway and had the happiest pupdate to share!

Karen says Freddie’s days are full of hiking, making dog park friends, being sweet and stubborn, and keeping everyone laughing with his big personality. His adoptaversary is coming up this August, and we couldn’t be happier to see him thriving.

Freddie is proof that so many shelter dogs just need a chance to shine—and someone to say yes.

REW rabbits like Gouda often get overlooked—but after 50 days at Queens ACC, this binky-loving girl finally found her perfect match. Now named Marie Gouda, she’s hopping through life with her new bunny sister, Linda, and bringing smiles to her whole family (including their chinchilla, Armando!).
