Riley’s Happy Tail 🐾💛

Sweet Riley, adopted from Manhattan ACC in November 2024, wasted no time making herself at home. Her adopter Daphne shared:

"From the moment she arrived, Riley was incredibly affectionate and sweet with my family, friends, and neighbors. She’s truly been a blessing—especially to my mother, who lovingly calls her her ‘grand-doger.’ We love Riley so much and are so grateful to have her in our lives."

We're over the moon to see Riley thriving in a home filled with love (and lots of cuddles). Here’s to grand-dogers, new beginnings, and the joy of adoption. 💛

Volunteers are the heart of ACC, and we’re endlessly thankful for their dedication. We deeply appreciate every caring New Yorker who gave their time to support our mission to end animal homelessness in NYC. Your compassion brings hope to countless animals and makes a lasting impact every single day. We truly couldn’t do this work without you.

Even if you work full time, your love still means the world.
8 hours alone in a safe, quiet home is better than endless days in a loud, stressful shelter. Consider adopting or fostering with ACC.

Aldo (220852) is adoptable at Queens ACC!

https://nycacc.app/browse/220852

My Buddy writes:
We took Aldo to a dog friendly park in Long Island and he had one big mission: sniff everything! Every tree, bench, and breeze got the full Aldo inspection. If sniffing were an Olympic sport, he'd bring home the gold! He is a reminder to slow down and appreciate the details and it was a delight watching him enjoy the world one scent at a time.
Aldo gently took treats and did a little joyful hop when he got super excited-usually at greeting you or the sight or smell of snacks. Speaking of which, he's a boiled egg connoisseur (five stars) but politely declined berries (one bite, zero interest). But he soon learned that a gentleman needs to have manners and only good behavior will get a reward. So he would sit for a treat and patiently wait, which tells me there's already a lot of good learning, just waiting to be brought out with consistent love.
Aldo is a delight and doesn't ask for much-just a few good sniffs, a quiet place to rest his head, and someone willing to share cuddles. He would occasionally check in by gently nudging his nose.
Aldo's not just a good boy-he's the good that stays with you. If you're looking for a buddy to join you on a walk, a nap, or a legendary sniffary-Aldo is the guy. He's ready to love you with his gentle, soulful heart.

Happy Tail Alert: Hudson (fka Brutus)

His adopter writes:
"Hudson was on my radar for three weeks before we finally made the six-hour drive—each way—from Virginia to bring him home. I just couldn’t stop looking at his handsome face on the ACC app.
He’s settling beautifully into life here in the country, and from the moment we got home, it was clear: Hudson was home forever. He is absolutely perfect in every single way."

If you're inspired by Hudson's happy tail, consider adopting your very own Boroughbred! Stop by Queens, Manhattan, or Staten Island ACC during adoption hours, or visit nycacc.app to browse hundreds of adoptable pets!
