There are almost 800 WYSIWYGS available from Jakarta this week. There’s definitely something for every taste and every budget! Here’s a few that grabbed my eye as I scrolled through them. Orders are due on Wednesday and the corals arrive in NY on Sunday.

These high grade albino dragon OB peacocks are available from Bangkok. If you’re interested in them, please ask us about them. They’re not on the availability for this week. Beautiful fish, for sure.

New Indo always has really nice opaline gouramies. I love how many of them still feature the mid-body spot that is one of the features of wild blue gouramies. The various color morphs that have been developed from the original wild form include opaline, gold, and platinum um/ivory and we’ve reached a point in the hobby where these are overlooked and underappreciated. They’re capable of reaching 6” in length so they’re not suitable for small tanks, but they thrive in 55 gallons or larger. I always like to keep 1 male and 2-3 females. The males have longer, pointed dorsal fins while females are smaller and rounded. While the males are aggressive toward each other, they’re usually pretty good with other fish. This makes them a great addition to larger community tanks. If you want to breed an egg layer, they’re a great place to start. They’re easy to breed and the dry are tiny but not difficult to raise. They deposit their eggs in a bubble nest which is guarded by the male until the fry are free swimming. They’re great outside and an excellent choice for summer tubs.

A tale of two starfish. We get a fair number of icon stars from Bali. Most are monochromatic in varying shades of orange, but sometime we get them with really cool patterns that look like tiles. This was a week for patterns. The same holds true for pillow stars from the Phillipines. They’re usually not very colorful, just interestingly shape. But sometimes they come in with awesome patterns. The ones we got this week were reminiscent of looking theough a kaleidoscope. Totally awesome. This was a week where karma aligned and we got some beautiful animals. Hopefully we’ll get more of both on Sunday.

We received a really nice shipment of marine fish from Jakarta yesterday. Here are some of the fish being acclimated today after the next leg of their journey. Pic of the corals they received being dipped in the comments.

Another Trinidad shipment in the books. Livebearers we’re particularly nice this week. The black swordtails were actually better than the last shipment and the showa swordtails featured here were the best ones I’ve ever seen. We had multiple bags of these and they were all this nice. aCheck out their color patterns, overall size and condition and the length of the tails on those males! Are Trinidad livebearers priced higher than those from other countries? Yes. Are they worth the cost? Resounding yes! The freight is cheap and the fish are amazing. The guppies were as good as the swords, the angels were in great condition and shipped in a nice mix though the smallest size was heavy on blacks. The angels are typically a mix of standard and veil fins and this week was no exception. The dwarf gouramies were big and in phenomenal condition. The females were full of eggs and just about ready to spawn. Watch your emails so that you don’t miss Trinidad the next time we bring it in.

These super cute blue ring octopus have been coming in great from Bali. In theory, this is a different species than the better known Australian version and is supposedly not ven emojis. That said, I’d still exercise every caution around them. If you’re looking for a really unique display animal, it doesn’t get much better than this!

A whole lot of neatness just landed!

These are some of the Grade A livebearers available from New Indo for arrival on 8/31. Quantities are always limited. The sooner you order, the more likely you are to get them. How would these look on your social media? How many customers would come in just to see them?

These beautiful fish are strawberry OB peacocks available from Bangkok. I hate that they handle the fish like this and usually won’t post videos like this but in this case, I wanted to show you the fish. This is a really attractive new variety. They’re available this week at 3”, 3.5”, and 4” sizes.

These beautiful albino dantum angels came in from Taiwan this week. They’re currently in a quarantine tank at our customer’s shop so the glass isn’t clean but the fish are fantastic, and their quality shows through clearly. More are available this week. Get your orders in today.

These are some of the new mollies available this week from Vietnam. These and more are on the availability lists that went out on Monday. Females are larger than males so expect some variation in the sizes.
