Please spread the word so we can reunite this found dog with its family! FOUND on January 3, 2026 in New York, NY 10009 near E Bleecker St & FDR Drive
Message from Finder: "My wife and I rescued this dog off of FDR Drive yesterday - she was running across traffic on the highway, but we were able to successfully stop traffic and get her on to a leash and into our car. We picked her up at 919 FDR Drive, but we were told by other folks who helped save her that she was spotted at E Bleecker St and FDR Drive.
She is small, probably weighing about 10 pounds, and doesn't appear to have been out on the street for long - her coat is long, but not matted or dirty. She has a harness, but no tags - we'll take her in to check for a microchip today. Though nervous, she's clearly smart, well-behaved, and leash trained. She's also good with our two other small dogs.
She definitely seems to be somebody's pet, who I'm sure is missing her today. She is safe, and we can look after her so she doesn't have to go to a shelter. But we'd love to get her back to her ."
Description: Small terrier mix, well behaved, leash trained, nervous but smart and gentle, doesn't appear to have been on the street for long. Harness, but no tags.
