Peaches is a 3 year old rescue shih tzu from . We met for her first lesson to set up a crate training/house training routine and to help this gal feel more comfortable on walks in busy downtown Brooklyn. It’s so important to allow your dog, especially a new dog-some time to sniff on walks amidst all the chaos of the city. Keeping their world small (short, frequent walks) in the beginning can help them decompress and adjust to their new life with you.

Here’s Frankie, the miniature 🐩 practicing targeting. Frankie resource guards the sofa and bed, so we are first teaching her a hand target, and then we’ll put to a verbal cue. When she jumps on the cushion, we praise her, and then as she jumps off to target her mom’s hand, she gets a food reward.

Lewk at those eyelashes!! Meet Hubble, a 6 month old bernedoodle. Hubble is an irresistible pup, which can get him into trouble, especially now that he is entering his adolescent phase and is much bigger. We are working on jumping, counter surfing, overall impulse control and leash walking/manners. Can’t wait to see his progress!

💥 4th of July firework tips 💥

🧨exercise your pup before the festivities start-walks, swimming, flirt pole, training games
🧨prep meals and snacks using food puzzles-stuffed and frozen kongs, lickimats, bones etc
🧨keep your pups tags on indoors and make sure all ID’s are up to date
🧨if your pup is fearful, keep them inside, in an interior room with carpeting if possible. Turn the lights on and a fan or white noise/radio/tv
🧨ask your vet about anti-anxiety medication
