Welcome the “Apple Bottom Boys” to The Quill Menagerie. So named because they are either missing tails or have severely inverted ones.

Both are EXTREMELY sweet.

They are from a cohab situation that, unfortunately, didn’t end to well for one and he’s got some battle damage.

We have renamed them Vinny (for Vincent Van Gogh) and Bjorn (which is Norse for bear).

The cuteness is strong with these two. They were definitely ready for their supper tonight.

Aurora and Steve both have neurological problems and have to be syringe fed multiple times a day. Luckily they are both hungry hippos and such sweet hearts.

Meet Hamish. This cute little man is at least 1.5 yrs old and is looking for a new forever family.

He’s shy at first but really sweet and adventurous once he warms up.

Update: Unfortunately, the tumors had metastasized far beyond what was expected. Granny Willow is now at peace and will be greatly missed. Thank you all for the support and encouragement.

Just dropped Granny Willow off at the vet for her tumor removal surgery. To say I’m nervous is an understatement. I’m trying to be cautiously optimistic.

She was in great spirits. Lively and loving and huffy.

She would love all the love and positive vibes sent her way!

Hello All,

I’m so very sorry I have not been keeping the over up to date. 2021 was an extremely rough year for us and ending with me having a major surgery.

We are in our new space now and the hedgies have their own, temperature controlled room.

Right now we are beyond capacity, like most rescues across the country, and we REALLY need adopters! We have 8 kiddos that could really use a new home and more 1 on 1 TLC.

I will make a more detailed post soon but in the meantime if you’re interested in adopting, or know someone that is, please reach out or share our info.
