Mother's Day is this Sunday! If you're planning to send flowers to a household with pets, make sure to choose a non-toxic arrangement. Many popular flowers are poisonous to pets, and some can be deadly. 🌸

🚫 LEAVE OUT THE LILIES: Lilies are toxic to all pets, but they're especially dangerous for cats. Even minimal exposure can cause serious health issues and even be fatal.

🌼 PET-FRIENDLY BLOOMS: Here eight flowers that are non-toxic to both dogs and cats. While these are safer choices, excessive ingestion of any plant material can still upset your pet's stomach, so it's best to keep flowers out of reach.

🚨 EMERGENCY ACTION: If you suspect your pet has ingested a toxic plant, especially lilies, act immediately. Take them to the veterinary ER without delay.

Meet adoptable 💙BIG BOY 💙A 6 year old, good natured, full breed Husky we named “BIG BOY” was found tied to a post in Queens. The local Police Precinct took him in and called the AAVC and we took this gentle giant. He was so traumatized that it took him a month to get into a new routine.
We did all the medicals on Big Boy and he got along with our dogs and cats, so now he can move on to his very own forever family. He needs a patient adopter, preferably with Husky breed experience. Strudel has been 💗ADOPTED!💗Sweet and gentle Strudel was freezing during the bitter cold winter we had, and had 4 kittens at the backyard of an AAVC staffer. The AAVC staffer found homes for the kittens but Strudel had to come to the AAVC to find her new lifetime family. We publicized Strudel's need for a family of her own and three families responded.
We adopted Strudel to a client of the Vet Mobile who had already rescued a tied up dog in Coney Island and another cat. (Hero!) Now that client of the Low Cost Vet Mobile got a lovely new friend and the benefit of ⭐️ FREE lifetime veterinary care for ALL THREE of her animals for illnesses as a benefit of adoption from the Animal Adoption Veterinary Center. An adoption from the AAVC in Queens provides ⭐️FREE LIFETIME VETERINARY SERVICES for ALL pets for any illnesses living within the household prior to the adoption.

Munchkin has been ❤️ADOPTED❤️
Appreciating how the police save our lives by putting their own lives in danger every day they go to work, we try to help the NYPD by taking the animals they end up with, provide all the medicals and adopt them out to only the best people.
So Munchkin came to us with a dental issue and a tumor growing near his a**s. His previous family had not even neutered him, which usually lengthens animals’ lives.
We did bloodwork, Munchkin’s dental, removed the a**l tumor, neutered him, gave his shots, and found one of the most committed pet parents to adopt Munchkin to.
Thank you NYPD for doing not only the big things, such as stopping bad people from doing bad things to others, but also for doing the millions of smaller things…… LIKE RESCUING AN ANIMAL 🐕
Thank you to everyone who liked and shared this cutie pie a few months ago, we really appreciate it 🙌
