As we close out March and Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating none other than Dr. Jo-Elle Mogerman! 🎉

Dr. Mogerman is a powerhouse in the animal world. She made history as the first Black woman to lead Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo, and her passion for animals, conservation, and education is truly inspiring. With over 20 years of experience, she’s all about making zoos more inclusive, ensuring everyone—no matter their background—feels connected to wildlife.

Her leadership isn’t just about running a zoo; it’s about shaping the future of conservation, opening doors for more women in STEM, and inspiring young minds to see a future in animal care.
