Our focus is education, advocacy, rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming domestic rabbits to indoor homes in NYC, LI, and northern NJ.

Did you know, that black buns (just like black cats) have a harder time getting adopted than their lighter or patterned counterparts? As sad as that is, they are often overlooked just due to the color of their fur. They are just as friendly, just as loveable and even more beautiful than you could imagine.

Meet Mr. Angel...he's like a puppy!
He is a sweet and cuddly bun that will paw at your legs for attention and pets.

While we don't encourage picking up rabbits, but when we need to pick him up for grooming, he seems to enjoy the physical closeness.

Mr. Angel has the smoothest silkiest fur coat and is a pleasure to pet. We think he is part Havana due to this soft silky coat and part New Zealand due to the size of his ears and structure. He loves pets and attention and would probably snuggle with you on the couch eating a treat while you eat your dinner.

Mr. Angel is neutered and under a year old and has good litter box skills.

Originally found as a stray, he is sweet friendly engaging cuddly and will be a great addition to any home.
He is gentle so he could go with gentle children. He is about 7lbs at this time.

They are just as friendly, just as loveable and even more beautiful than you could imagine.

Paige was rescued after a cruel person was seen dumping a group of rabbits at a nature preserve in Nassau County. She, along with several others, were left to fend for themselves until a team of volunteers were able to bring them to safety.

Fast forward a few weeks and she is now safe and enjoying being pampered by her new foster mom. She can be a little shy at first but quickly warms up, especially if you have snacks to offer!

Paige has great litter box skills and is eating a variety of greens with great pleasure. She loves her timothy hay and will not turn down any treats you want to offer.

Please help us give this special lady the fresh start she deserves.

Minerva and Hermione are the dynamic sister duo which live up to their Harry Potter counterparts names.

They are identical and act as one mind in two bodies. Where one is, the other is not far behind, making it hard to tell which one of these two lovely ladies is the mastermind of a very respectful bunstruction!

These bright beautiful girls have trained their foster parents to give them treats for just looking cute and standing on 2 feet. Not only are they gorgeous, with the most amazing shiny and silky fur, but they're also extremely intelligent and athletic, able to escape their enclosure in search of better and bigger things.

Hermione & Minerva are absolutely fearless and the most daring and intrepid explorers you will ever meet. They absolutely love space and toys, especially having a large setup which will allow them the chance to do their their fantastic binkies and zoomies. They would like nothing more in the world than a cardboard condo to design and remodel according to preferences.

Adopted!
Kiki has found her home with a handsome husbun.

She came into the care of AARR after being rescued from an outdoor living situation where over a dozen rabbits were wandering around a Suffolk County neighborhood.

At our mid-September adoption event in Brooklyn, a bachelor named Pleakley arranged to come speed date a few of our single girls. He brought all the swag that day and had the lady buns swooning.

In the end, he seemed to vibe best with our girl Kiki, who was lucky enough to have her ears gently groomed by her suitor. Fast forward to a month later, and they were fully bonded.

Kiki sure hit the jackpot because not only does she have an attentive partner, but also a house in the suburbs, free roam privileges, and a waitstaff of 2 humans.

We wish Kiki, Pleakley and their humans an eternity of love and hoppiness.

Bunny Butt Friday!
This week's perfect posterior belongs to adoptable Orion.

Orion is an active 3 year old that loves exploring and sleeping in his cat hammock bed. He has very good litter box skills.

He was a bit on the shy side, but is a huge foodie so snacks may have played a role in his becoming more outgoing. Orion loves to stand on his hind feet to beg for food, and his foster person finds it difficult to say "No" to his sweet face. However, he never got into bananas or fruits, and prefers the Science Selective treats instead. Eating is one of his hobbies!

He may do well as a potential bondmate.

Meet Benny.
He is 11 years old and looking for a new home.

Over the years his human has developed severe allergies to him him that have led to really bad asthma attacks and hospitalizations. She has tried everything to make this work, which includes changing the hay and even removing hay for a short time period to see if that was the culprit. Unfortunately it's not the hay. The allergy meds, air purifiers, cleaning daily--nothing is really curbing the allergies and attacks.

AARR has been asked to help find safe placement for this neutered senior. He had bloodwork done recently and was found to be healthy.

Benny is the sweetest boy EVER! He's friendly and will go up people and say hi. He loves to be pet and cuddled. He's really the ideal bunny and anyone would be lucky to have him.
