TEENIE, who is not so teeny anymore, is a neutered Siamese mix who has had his share of (now resolved) treatable ailments. From the time he came into our system in late 2021, he was a character. As his favorite, he chose a toy nearly twice his size which he carried around in his mouth. Three years later, he still favors the same toy; witness the pics of him as a wee kitten and then fully grown with it.

His kittenhood into adolescence issues included a fungus on his paw pads, then URI which, when treated with simple amoxicillin resulted in severe rash across his chest and under arm pits. Changes in antibiotics took time. These issues were resolved at which point very severe gum disease made itself known by way of bleeding gums and expressions of pain when eating. However, dental at The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center didn't want to start removing teeth until all his adult teeth came in so there were several months of waiting. Finally, into Teenie's second year his diagnosis of stomatitis resulted in full mouth extraction at AMC with the wonderful Dr. Django Martell. Teenie's recovery, however, took ages. He was miserable for months after the surgery.

For the past year, thankfully, Teenie has not shown signs of further physical ailments. However, he has evolved to a point that he is grievously unhappy in his home with many other kitties. It is a crowded foster home with a lot of furry vagabonds. TEENIE deserves - and best will thrive in - a single cat household where he can be Top Cat and enjoy undivided love & attention from his careperson - possibly with just one other kitty who keeps to himself.

TEENIE is desperate for a more regular environment where he will not be bumping into foster mates every few feet.

If you can offer TEENIE a loving home where he will be Top Cat, please reach out to us here or email [email protected] for more information and/or an application.

TEENIE is neutered, current in vaccinations, FeLV/FIV tested negative, and microchipped.

Please share this post for a home for TEENIE.

Place For Cats has really fallen behind in adoptions this year. We kindly ask our supporters to share-share-share our posts. So many wonderful kitties need homes - and we've done posts on them, going back months but so far, nary an inquiry! There's
🩷🧑LAVENDER, a young, beautiful & friendly brindle spayed female;
πŸ’›πŸ§‘ EVIE, a young, very lovely & sassy snowshoe tortoiseshell spayed female;
πŸ’œπŸ’™HONEY, a young, stunning neutered black swirl tabby who, unfortunately, is afraid of his own shadow;
πŸ’šπŸ’™ SONA, a stunning, very sweet adolescent peach tabby, now recovered from various ailments after being rescued from the streets of Egypt!
πŸ’›πŸ’œMIRACLE, a lovely, spayed calico with an unusual but endearing personality and residual scarring along her right gumline due to trauma on the streets of Egypt;
🩷🀎BUBBLEGUM, a beautiful but somewhat aloof longhaired spayed mademoiselle who will let you know who's boss;
πŸ’™πŸ’œ JOEY, a friendly, handsome tuxedo gentleman who patiently awaits his furrever person able to provide his daily insulin injection;
πŸ’šπŸ’› MISO, a reserved snowshoe spayed tabby who wants nothing more than to become attached to a household where she can relax, sit at a window and watch the birds.

All these kids are FeLV/FIV negative, current in vaccinations and ready to relocate to purrrmanent digs! Please share for homes for them.

Miss MIRACLE is one of 3 kitties who recently came in to us in NYC on a flight from Cairo. She's a beauty despite residual facial scarring around the right side of her mouth from severe, unresolved infection early on.

MIRACLE is difficult to describe which is one reason we haven't done a post for her since her arrival May 10th. Although she was kept somewhat separate for the first few weeks after her arrival while she underwent medical evaluation and antibiotics for diarrhea and continued infection, Miracle later was quick to carve space for herself in a multi-cat foster home. She did not hesitate to take issue with any kitty who got too near. At the very same time, Miracle jumped up on her careperson and purred louder than almost any other kitty, ever. She is the ultimate purr machine. At the same time that Miracle didn't hesitate to swat if another kitty closed in on her space, she picked one or two in the group with whom she wanted to play ALL THE TIME. Make no mistake, these behaviors were all her choices, not choices others imposed on her.

So it's safe to say that MIRACLE has a somewhat dominant personality although she's reportedly just ten or eleven months old. She is spayed, FeLV/FIV tested negative, current in vaccinations and highly energetic.

Please email [email protected] or contact us here if you are interested in adopting MIRACLE. We also are open to a foster-to-adopt situation given the unusual combination of personality traits with this lovely girl.

Please share for a home for 🧑🩷❀️MIRACLE❀️🩷🧑.

Svelte JOEY still seeks his furrrever home!! Sweet, healthy and handsome! What more can one ask for? Please consider adopting JOEY today! He has waited patiently in his loving foster home on Staten Island but alas, it is time for him to go to a home where he can be Top Cat!

Joey is a jewel!

Joey ( #184257) is a handsome senior who came into Place For Cats' (New York, New York) care in October 2023 from NYC ACC's At Risk list. He is being fostered on Staten Island, NY.

JOEY is a delightful 12 year young tuxedo gentleman who has been on ' adoption roster for more than 2 years. He is handsome, friendly, likes to participate in household goings-on and is healthy although does require daily insulin injections for diabetes. However, the condition is well-controlled and JOEY is such a gem that it is a mystery why he hasn't been scooped up!!!!

Joey is really a friendly guy! His foster mom wrote that it didn't take long at all for Joey to acclimate to the household and form a routine. He's a friendly guy and gets along with the foster's own kitty.

Giving the daily insulin injection is not hard at all to do. In most cases it's much easier than giving a pill; the needle is teeny and most animals don't feel it.

Please reach out to them Place for Cats or email [email protected] for more information about JOEY and/or to set up a meet & greet with this sweet guy!
