20 Years of Brooklyn Cattitude 🐾

Twenty years ago, our founder Taryn had a dream. That dream became an idea, and that idea grew into a business that would forever change the way people care for their cats.

Brooklyn Cattitude was born with a mission: to make sure no cat was ever left with nothing but a bowl of dry food and water while their human was away. From the very beginning, we understood what many are only just now realizing cats aren’t the aloof, independent creatures people assume. They bond deeply with their humans, and they deserve the same love, attention, and care as any family member.

Fast forward to today, after more than 25,000 cat scratches, head butts, dirty litter boxes, hairballs, and purrs, we celebrate this journey with gratitude. To every client, friend, and furry companion who has been part of our story: thank you. Together, we’ve redefined the meaning of pet care not just in NYC, but across the country.

And the best part? We’re just getting started. We grew, added dogs and exotics, you needed different types of services and support so we opened our first brick and mortar Doggittude in 2023. And, our cat guests who board with us in our cattery find our dog guests to be very amusing. 😻😹🐶🐕‍🦺🐰🐹

Today, we celebrate not just the end of an era, and dedication to our fur patients and their humans!!! You have left a lasting impact on our team and community.

From calming the most nervous pets to lending a helping hand at a moments notice, you’ve been the heart and soul of our care mission.

We will miss your expertise, your kindness, and your unwavering commitment, but most of all, we will miss you.
