Excited to promote the future of our sport! Hug a Junior today!

Since 1934, the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show has awarded a Best Junior Handler. We're happy to announce that starting with the 2018 event, the Best Junior Handler advanced education scholarship award will be increased from $6,000 to $10,000. The scholarship increase continues Westminster’s 142-year tradition of giving back to the sport of dogs.

What fun was had today! Thank you to all the owners who brought their Whippets to The Garden. It was wonderful to have so many great ambassadors of the breed to help celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the Whippet’s first time showing at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

Thank you to the Somerset Hills Kennel Club for offering a PeeWee Class on Saturday, September 9th. PeeWee is a special class or special attraction for children from 5- 9 years old to step into the Dog Show ring for a fun, safe and rewarding experience. My Daughter was lent a young Russel Terrier to share her first show ring experience with, and I could not have asked for a more perfect duo! The two had so much fun practicing and then showing together. I was not the only one who thought they had a perfect experience, my Daughter today decided that her PeeWee Class should be the topic of today’s Show and Tell at School.
