Twenty Paws Rescue Twenty Paws Rescue, a 501c3 non-profit, located in NY rescues dogs and cats from all walks of life. We work with NY, NJ, PA, CT, MA, and RI.

Twenty Paws Rescue has one common objective and passion. Every day they strategize and devise plans to battle an ongoing epidemic plaguing our streets, the abundance of forgotten homeless, abused, and surrendered animals from every kind of background. Twenty Paws, a small rescue, is only able to bring their ambitious dreams to fruition by an exceptional and dedicated team composed of volunteers an

d fosters. Working tirelessly and within their means, Linda, Rachel, and the Twenty Paws’ team combine their boundless devotion to provide all Twenty Paws angels with exceptional foster life and vet care until they find a forever home. Even though the Twenty Paws focuses primarily on the “bully” breeds, they are not a breed specific rescue. Twenty Paws provides refuge and unconditional love to dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, sex, and temperament. Linda and Rachel strive to provide all Twenty Paws animals and families with the ideal match and safest environment possible. Furthermore, they have the strength inside to fight every minute. Until every shelter cage is empty, Twenty Paws will continue to be their voice. Twenty Paws Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization. All donations to the rescue are tax-deductible.

Please join us in welcoming Sheba to the TPR fam! As you may remember, Sheba was on the euth list . At the last minute, she went into foster thru them and that saved her life.

The foster was only able to keep Sheba for a short time, so we’ve been working to get her transferred into our care. Sheba is in her foster home decompressing and has already started to flourish.

We are really excited to see her unwind and live the life she was destined for. She’s starting to work with a trainer and this good girl was quick to learn sit!

She’s looking for a foster starting 10/9 or better yet, we’d love to get her right into her forever home 🫶

🆘Putting out a major SOS. If you remember Sheba, she was on the euth list at Trenton. There was a lot of confusion but in the final hour she went to foster thru the shelter. That foster was only temporary and they reached out to us asking if we could take Sheba. We had 1 good application but they were on vaca— we said we can see as soon as they’re back if we can help. Well, they came back and never answered us. 💔

Sheba has no where to go come Oct 9th. She has no shortage of people trying to help, but none to open their home. What we really need is a no pet adult home so she can keep the decompression she’s been working on. She’s a GOOD GIRL and has already made great strides (swipe to see videos).

Fostering is free— we will send supplies, food, we cover medical and have trainers to help.

We have NOWHERE for her to go on Oct 9th. Boarding is NOT an option, it’ll reverse all the great strides she’s made.

Jackson is the full package: potty trained ✔️ crate trained ✔️ loves kids ✔️ impresses humans daily with his smarts ✔️ and yes, he’s a professional car ride enthusiast 🚗💨

✨ 45 lbs of pure wiggle butt, sweetness, and “good boy” energy. Our best guess? He’s around 2–3 years old—but his heart is timeless. 🕰️

He’s lived peacefully with cats 🐱, plays nicely with dogs (given thoughtful intros 🐾), and never met a human he didn’t like. Jackson is ready to be your snuggle bestie.

They’re housebroken, crate trained, vaccinated, and FULL of love. Great with kids ✅ Other dogs ✅ Crate buddies ✅ soulmates ✅

SHEBA is out of time ‼️‼️Sheba is a beautiful, 8–9 year old hippo mama who’s been overlooked for far too long. Found as a stray after being overbred and abandoned, Sheba has spent the last 10 months at Trenton Animal Shelter. Now, heartbreakingly, she’s timestamped for Sept. 17, 2025 due to overcrowding.

Sheba has never truly had her chance at a real home. She’s cautious in new environments and needs an experienced, patient foster or adopter who understands that slower is better with her. Once she feels comfortable, Sheba melts into wiggles, gentle greetings, and even hugs. She rides wonderfully in the car (a volunteer drove 13 hours with her without a single bark!), and she leans right in when it’s time to put her leash on.

Sheba should be the only pet, as she’s dog selective; but we can consider an experienced foster with dogs. Adults only would be best for her. Training and structure will help her thrive — she just needs someone willing to give her that chance.

If there was ever an underdog worth fighting for, it’s Sheba. Please share to help us find her hero — foster or adopter — before it’s too late.

🚨Of the original 8 we posted, 6 dogs are left on the euth list for 9/17 . TWO DAYS to get out and get to live. Jasier, Asher, and Jingles are all dog friendly. Sheba is dog selective. Nala and Medusa are only pet. All deserve to live.

Share them, let’s help find adopters that want to give them a HOME. We are trying to save Sheba if we can find a foster, tag and share with other rescues— maybe they have fosters for the others. We need to use our voices to save these poor babies 💔
