This is the precious little pup my dog gave me before she passed away

This is Sully. He’s 6 months old now. He was only 3 months old when his mom died accidentally. Every time I look at him, I see her — the same eyes, the same calm energy. Losing her still hurts, but having him around makes me feel like she’s still with me somehow. ❤️

I’m giving up.

My poor baby had been in and out of her vet for the past few months. She lost a lot of weight and had some operations and hearing her cry in pain is just too much for me.

Brought her to the vet since she started peeing blood and I was told that she needs cystotomy. I feel like I am to be blamed for all of this, she’s been having all this medical conditions and I feel like I’m doing something wrong raising her. She’s my first ever dog and I love her so much.

I feel horrible for thinking of voluntarily putting her down. I’m buried in debts from her previous operations and medications. I was given a quote for his operation and euthanasia is much cheaper. Im thinking of taking another payday loans and just worry about paying it to give her more chance in life. I feel so hopeless.

Using a throwaway account because I just really need to vent. You can all bash me and call me irresponsible and selfish but I tried everything that I could.

Weird mass in dogs mouth - 12 year old lab

Hi there!

This is Gunner, our 12 year old lab. One of his front teeth that has always been broken but the vet never removed is now coming out, and there’s some sort of mass right behind it. Previously, the tooth was firmly in place. We are scheduled for a consult next week but this sudden growth (mass) and tooth becoming dislodged has us worried. Any thoughts? Could this be oral cancer?

Dog set to be put down, no idea what’s wrong

10 year old black lab/german shepherd.

Hurt her back left leg in early August and started limping, refusing to put weight on it. We took her to the vet who said she had a CCL tear most likely. Given some meds to help, I think just pain meds. Soon after her leg became very swollen like it is in the picture to the point she refuses to bend it. I don’t think she could even if she wanted, it’s like a rock.

Take her back to the same vet, who isn’t quite sure. We do X-rays, her bones look odd, possible cancer. Give her steroids and anti inflammatory medication. She goes back into the vet and the swelling is down and the xray now looks fine. Now even her lower leg is swollen and seems her paw like flops as if she doesn’t have control. Tried to drain it, nothing came out. Gave her more medication to try to get her leg to like drain her fluids? (I didn’t really get it), she goes to the bathroom every hour from these meds which is the intended effect. She shows no improvement, her last vet appointment was last week and we’re just stumped. Unsure if her CCL was ever even injured. She was given antibiotics at some point as well with no change.

She breathes heavily most of the time, struggles to stand up, she has had a fever through a lot of it though the medication has kept her stable, she has lost about 15 pounds and hasn’t had much appetite the entire time. They want to put her down and I understand but we don’t even know what’s wrong.

Cats eye

Recently acquired this cat that was on my porch and he seemed to have been doing great but just came home and his one eye doesn’t look right. Does anyone know what this could be? Thanks in advance. Took him to the vet once and everything was great and I’ll be able to take him to the vet Monday but I’m hoping he’ll be okay for the day tomorrow. He’s been so great and is such a good boy.

Thank you!

Pink bump on head

Hi, my 15 year old black lab/beagle mix has a pink bump on her head that keeps growing.
I assume we will need to get this removed but do you know if they will need to sedate her to remove it or is this something that can be done while she’s awake? She is very calm and easy to work with.
Thank you in advance!

What is this on cats butt

Hello, there is an outside cat in my area that I sometimes let into my house for cuddles. I am not sure if he has an owner but he doesn’t look like a stray. I haven’t seen him for a few days, but today he came in with something that looks like a weeping ulcer on his behind. He is acting normal otherwise, and it doesn’t seem to bother him as he is currently sitting on it. Any advice would be very welcome thank you

My little girl passed after a surgery, could anyone give me any clarity about why?

My little girl, a mutt/pitt mix who just turned three earlier September, passed away last week. She had been diagnosed with Addison’s disease a year earlier. when she started vomiting Monday morning, I just kept a close eye on her and decided I’d run her to the vet the next day if she couldn’t keep anything down. She woke me up that night at 3am with some foul smelling vomit and completely undigested food, which scared me cause she needs to take two prednisone a day for her Addison’s. So we went to the emergency vet since I thought she might have an intestinal blockage, which was like 40 minutes away cause every closer one i called said they had an emergency and wouldn’t get to her quickly.

At the emergency vet they gave her some pain killers and hydrated her after getting an xray, which the vet said did show a possible blockage but they weren’t 100%. Honestly we waited there for HOURS, maybe six or seven, before they called her primary vet and sent us there for a surgery. Another round of x rays and blood work when we got there confirmed they did at least want to do an exploratory surgery. So I left her there and paced around the house for a few hours till about 5:30pm when I got their call. Went to pick her up, they said it was a blockage and they gave me her special food, meds, instructions on what to do, then brought my girl out… she looked horrible, wobbly and her abdomen was stapled and bloody, I was so scared just looking at her but they said that was normal, and she was leaking this brownish saliva… when we were walking out to the car, she took the step down to the road kind of hard, and when I was getting her in and out of the car I’m so scared I was too rough with her and broke her internal stitches, I tried to be gentle but I’m not very fit and she was limp and so hard to lift

When we got home, I laid down some towels, a bed and some potty pads in the kitchen and gated it off so my other pup wouldn’t bother her, then let her rest. At least… I thought she was resting, I checked on her then I took a two hour nap since I had been up all day. When I got up, I found my girl in a puddle of brown vomit, passed away alone on the kitchen floor. This was at 10:30pm that same day.

Can anyone tell me what could have happened? Was it my fault, did I tear her stitches? It’s too late for a necropsy, she’s buried now and I couldn’t have put my beautiful girl through that anyway.
