Neighbor left this on my door but I do not have a dog.
I live alone and do not have a dog. I am gone 12+ hours per day so this note was a surprise. I myself do not hear any barking when I am home during the weekends/at night. I left it on the door and wrote it was the wrong apartment and notified the office of this. My next door neighbor says they don’t hear anything either? Not sure what’s happening here.

W**d smell note to neighbor
So I live in DE and I reached out to the administration and they say it’s legal to smoke w**d now so there is nothing they can do. I am dropping this note to my neighbor since we share the bathroom duct I believe since the smell comes from there. Is this an acceptable note to leave under their door?

Dear neighbor, Hope you're doing well! I just wanted to bring something up real quick; I've been noticing a strong w**d smell coming through my bathroom vent pretty often. I think our vents might be connected, so it’s been filling my place. Would you mind smoking somewhere else besides the bathroom if possible? Maybe by a window or outside? It’s just been a little tough on my end with the smell hanging around. Really appreciate it, and thanks for understanding!

Ok, hear me out. There is someone in my walls.
Ok, I know I probably sound absolutely insane. But earlier today when i was putting groceries away in my pantry my cat climbed into the bottom part (like she typically does, she goes anywhere I do not want her to) and she ended up just disappearing. I know shes a fast cat but this wasnt her just running away. I moved the stuff on the bottom shelf of the pantry where she disappeared and turns out the bottom panel of my pantry is loose. It doesnt just into the wall like a normal pantry. It leads to a whole full sized hallway. I only have one not so great photo (where you can see my cats legs). I managed to get her out but when i pushed on the panel more it revealed a bunch of random items. I have posted in this group before about my weird neighbor but this is way more terrifying. I will attach the image along with this. I emailed the main office about this but I have no idea what to do. It is my first apartment and I am a female living alone, my boyfriend does come over most nights though. I have heard noises from my closet (just thinking it is my cat because theres no openings to this mysterious hallway. If this was not my first apartment I would break my lease but I am here until November. Where do I even begin with this can of worms that I have opened.

W**d smoking neighbors
Okay, I’ve lived in my current apartment for roughly three months now. I picked this place for a few reasons, but a big one was that it’s a non-smoking complex. I’m a stickler for my house smelling good (candles, plug-ins, diffuser, you name it), but since the month I moved in I’ve constantly noticed a smell of w**d in my apartment. Now I have no qualms with anyone choosing to partake, plenty of my friends do, but I absolutely despise the smell. My mom was visiting one time and we noticed a strong smell coming beneath my kitchen sink and when we opened the cabinets to investigate, we were smacked in the face with the stench like someone was hotboxing under there. I’ve also continuously noticed the bottom floor (I live on the second) reeks of w**d. I’ve reported it to the office and via the maintenance portal a multitude of times to no avail other than “we’ll monitor it”. The last response I got from maintenance was to call the cops per the office’s instructions. Now I don’t want to ruin someone’s life over a little joint (I live in NC), but I’m sickkkkk of my apartment smelling bad. I got fed up tonight and left a note downstairs in the common area hoping to alleviate the issue, but I don’t know what else to do. Advice please.

Do I come off as weird or strange leaving this note?
A few months ago, our downstairs neighbors came home with their newborn. I thought it would be nice to leave a note, but since we left it we hadn’t heard anything back and they kinda stare at us if we cross paths. It’s made me feel like this could’ve been received poorly. Does this letter come off as weird or creepy? I should include that I/we haven’t properly introduced ourselves, but I’ve smiled/waved in the past.

EDIT: Holy cow this blew up haha. A few things I wanted to mention…

There are a lot of comments suggesting that my note could’ve been perceived as passive aggressive and I see that now. That was not my intent whatsoever and I think that’s why I could have overlooked that. I have super noisy upstairs neighbors, so I am very aware of how easily sound travels and just wanted to assure them that we would try to be mindful of our volume and keep quiet for their baby. It came from a good place!

Truthfully, it seems a lot of the comments are projections of people’s own experiences and I think that’s why there’s a good mix of not creepy and creepy lol. I appreciate everyone’s feedback, except for the one guy who literally called me psychotic?? Nuts lol

In regard to my handwriting, thanks!!! It’s real and it’s mine. :) I love my handwriting! I enjoy the lowercase look and understand that’s obviously not everyone’s cup of tea.

Letter taped to our door 8 hours after getting the keys to our new apartment…
Me and my girlfriend moved into our new home yesterday afternoon. This is our first apartment together (without another roommate) and we were so excited to start this chapter of our lives. Came home from dinner to find this lovely note on our door.

To give some context- we began moving small things in around 2pm. We would do a trip at a time from car to apartment without leaving any boxes, containers or anything in hallways and common areas. From 2pm - 4pm we ran into two people on the elevator and both were super nice, welcomed us to the building and wished us good luck with the move.

The only other thing we moved was our mattress around 6:30pm and again we didn’t see anyone on the elevator or halls. However, we did notice a woman, probably in her late 60s, on her balcony 5 units down staring right into our unit. We closed the blinds and she quickly went inside. When we left we noticed her staring at us from the window. If I had to guess who wrote that letter my money would be on her, but I have no idea what she is basing these claims on. We don’t even walk past her unit when we take the elevator.

I’m not so much worried about consequences, as building management said we didn’t break any rules and agrees that this is borderline harassment and was very apologetic for it happening- as was our landlord. I’m just upset that it really put a damper on what was otherwise a very special day for me and my girlfriend.

Thanks for letting me vent, redditors!

Kept finding trash in my balcony. Finally confronted upstairs neighbors and was pleasantly surprised
This started out with finding random candy wrappers. There are crazy winds here so at first I thought they were just carried by the wind. But then I started noticing candy, chewed gum, and finally half eaten apples and realized someone is definitely using my balcony as their trash can. I was furious and at a complete loss because how do you even start a conversation like "excuse me I don't know if you realize you're throwing apples into my balcony"?? when there's no way it's an accident. I really hate confrontations and wasn't sure if the culprit was the apartment directly above me or two floors up, but I decided if it happens again I have to talk to them.

Today I found these little yogurt bottles and finally said ok I've had it. I took one and went upstairs and when a woman opened the door I said "hi, is this yours?" She was really surprised and long story short, apparently when her nieces visit and she's busy cooking they sneak into their balcony and throw these things. She apologized profusely and I relaxed and said no worries just please make sure it doesn't happen again. A few minutes later she knocks on my door, insists on picking up all the trash and brings me a home cooked meal. That was not at all what I was expecting and thought it might be nice to share some good stories too haha just couldn't find a positive flair for this

got pulled into our neighbors note war
Saw this note this morning and thought it was funny that we were the assumed note-leavers in the building. There's been a constant note war going on for a year now where notes have been put up asking people to stop smoking in their apartments. Of course these don't deter the smokers and the complex doesn't have a no smoking policy. We are the only dog owners and know this is how apartment living is like with the smoking. This is our response to being dragged into this fight 😭
